I happened across this place online searching gluten free near me. A mom blog had some rave reviews and it's just a few blocks from my shop so I peeked at the online menu. I was tickled to death to have a no gluten section of the menu to take refuge in. It's a lovely touch for a layer of security in my ordering process. Notoriously, gluten free bread products always disappoint. When I spotted the no gluten calzone on the menu...I refreshed the screen and double checked I was in no gluten still. I haven't had a calzone since before my celiac diagnosis, the better part of a decade ago. I went to the location to pick up my order around 1.30pm and there was available parking right up front and I feel like I scored with that considering this is a pretty hip and happenin' area. I'd try to time your visit outside of food rush hours if your driving and not walking there. That's also coming from someone totally ignorant to parking in the area. Let's talk about this calzone though!!! When I bit into it, I was immediately scared that it wasn't gluten free because it's the best crust I've had in so many years. I ate that whole calzone by my lonesome, even licking my fingers of all the herbs and cheese that transferred off the crust to my hands. After I ate it, I just knew I was going to be so sick the next day, there's just no way they gave me the right dough with it being that good. I woke up feeling like a million bucks! They made me the best gluten free calzone ever and clearly prepared it safely with my health in mind. I'm thankful for your care with my order and your thoughtfulness in your menu and offerings. Now after reading the reviews, I can't wait to get the chance to meet Rodrigo and more of the staff and tell anyone that will listen how wonderful this place is. Thanks for a great lunch and for taking great care of my dietary needs. Have a great day yall!
Update as of 5/9/2025 - I have been back twice now (and ordered online today to pick up in an hour from now teehee!) to try more of the no gluten offerings and man, still hasn't disappointed even a little bit. The pizza was marvelous, the flat bread was delicious and I snacked on it all day - but the caesar salad - YUM! The dressing is REALLY good, so good in fact, today I ordered it with extra dressing. Does it need it? No, not really. But is it SO good that I want to saturate every shred of romaine with it? YES, yes REALLY! I brought my daughter on 5/9, she loved that the owner took time to describe the dishes to her. She tried something new, the Sweet Love Panuozzo and she LOVED it! She was texting all her friends and her fiance about it over the weekend. Thanks so much for the wonderful food and the attention to detail as well as customer experience. ...
Read moreWe live at the beach but i was in the area so took an intentional detour since I was close. I am gluten free/celiac and while I have enjoyed some great frozen GF pizzas (against the grain is 5 stars but much different). If you are GF, you know what it is like to remember and hope for and actually enjoy a bubbly crust with some chew. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY IT!!!! I had seen their posts on instagram and honestly how dedicated he was to his craft by providing confidence to the gluten free community by instead of saying gluten free - it was a reassuring NO GLUTEN tag/request.
Fast forward, I went to order to go - to bring back to the beach and had a great exchange with the staff member (sorry, do not remember his name but he was super helpful and informed on the menu/ingredients/allergens) - mind you - he was a pizza maker, not an order taker so he knew the answers to all my questions which was so reassuring. While we tried to decide which No Gluten option would travel best for reheating later - the owner stepped in with his thoughts and we made it work! We agreed on not cutting it so it could be reheated easily and while I waited, I enjoyed a sparkling rosé and had a great chat with the owner (Alex).
When i got home - 45 minutes later - we reheated in a preheated 425 oven for 12 minutes and it was so darn good!! The texture and chew for a GF/no gluten pie was out of this world.
PS. We got the pie with Mortadella and Pistachio pesto.
THANK YOU ALEX. Looking forward to our...
Read moreEating here on the patio this past Saturday night was a treat. I was greeted by the owner or head chef’s cute little daughters, who also rang up my order at the front counter. So adorable.
This family owned and operated business was so clean, so organized, had a welcoming aesthetic both on the inside and outside. I chose to eat on their patio and people watch since we were experiencing what north Florida likes to call “fake fall” for the night. It was so nice out.
We ran into fellow foodie/yelp elite friends the first 5 mins we were on the patio. Already off to a great start! Sasha and her hubs were eating nearby in five points.
To order, we got a Caesar salad to share, the Burrata di Oro, a Margarita pizza with fresh jalepenos added, and Georgie’s pizza(sausage, peppers, onion, jalepeno) with a glass of wine and a beer. To my surprise, this establishment also serves Hyppo pops!!! One of my favorite local businesses in northeast Florida! Unfortunately they were out of hyppo pops for the evening, but I’m excited to go back and grab some next time. The flavor of the dough was impressive. The burrata is wrapped in a warm dough, with prosciutto roasted inside, all resting on a bed of arugula. So tasty. The ingredients were fresh, the service was hospitable, and the overall ambiance was a win. I wish I would have known about this place sooner so I could have stopped in...
