3 of us had dinner at Ted's on Sunday, May 1st (2022). We made a reservation for 4:30. Upon arrival the restaurant only had 2 tables with people having dinner. Basically an empty restaurant. We were greeted efficiently and seated in a booth. Our waiter Devin, approached our table to take our drink order. We ordered a mango ice tea, a martini and a 9 oz glass of Pinot. The ice tea was served quickly but it took another 5 minutes to bring the drinks from the bar. Once they arrived he took our appetizer order and our dinner order. At no time were we offered water. After a short wait he delivered the onion rings. They were tasty and hot. By this point the restaurant had gained just a couple of tables of people. The 3 of us were sharing the order of onion rings. Less than 5 minutes had passed when our entrees arrived. As soon as they were delivered, Devin was gone. One of my dinner guests had the bison brisket with garlic mashed potatoes and carrots. My other guest had a steak salad with Caesar dressing. He ordered his steak medium. I ordered the bison meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes and carrots. Now the guest who ordered the salad, his beef was extremely rare and cold. My guest who ordered the brisket, his meat was cold, the mashed potatoes were cold and the carrots were cold and overcooked. My dinner was the same. Cold. Cold. Cold. We tried to get Devin's attention but to no avail. One of my guests walked over to the bar to get him to come to the table. After explaining how bad the meals were he left our table and sought advice from someone higher up. He then returned and took our plates away. After a few minutes he returned with 2 new meals, the brisket and the meatloaf. Thankfully they were hot. At no point did Devin ever come back to check on our new meals. Nor did anyone from management come to our table to check on us. When Devin returned we asked for the check. Again at no time did Devin offer an apology on behalf of the restaurant. The sad part is just 4 months ago I had a fantastic meal and raved about it to my friends, and left you a glowing review on Google. Sadly they won't go back after the bad service and cold food. I know I have higher standard than most, having had a catering business and restaurant and having worked in high end hotels. But our experience shows a lack of training and follow through on the part of management. And it is inexcusable for a kitchen to turn out cold food especially in an empty dining room. I can only hope management takes this as a wake up call and corrects the issues. Sadly I won't be...

There was seven of us including a toddler and a four year old. The service was great! The host at the front and the serving staff were personable and professional. The drinks were good and reasonably priced. Wife loved the margarita and my cranberry and vodka was spot on. Food came to the table at a good pace.

For starters we had the Bison sliders, shrimp and ciabatta bread and onion rings and they were all good. My Grandson loved the sliders and he can be picky. My favorites were the sliders and shrimp but the onion rings were a hit for others. The sliders were good and probably my favorite item but to be clear ... they weren't crazy good.

I had the bison brisket with mashed potatoes and carrots. The brisket was stringy and a little chewy. I thought the mashed potatoes and gravy were good but others in our group thought they were average. Carrots were cooked correctly but I'm not a veggy person.

My wife had a Avalon, regular beef burger (not bison) and thought they used too much cheese and that the bacon-caramelized onions were too chewy. She traded my daughter for her bison meatloaf and my daughter thought the burger was an "ok burger".

My wife and daughter thought the bison meatloaf was "nothing special". I tasted it and agree.

Grandson had the usual chicken strips and fries which were the same as you get anywhere.

The reason for the three stars (average rating) is that the more important entrees that we went there for were average and the overall cost for the meal was slightly more than average but not excessive.

We've been wanting to try the restaurant and I'm glad we did but none of us feel the need to go back.

EDIT: I appreciate the response from management and the fact that the response came so quickly. We will not be taking advantage of the offer though. The food wasn't bad it just wasn't good enough to warrant a return visit and I believe the result would be the same. ...

Great food and service. Unfortunately we came back after visiting a few times with perfect reviews. We had one night for a date night in over a month. We decided Ted's because it's a favorite. This is the first time we had a not so great experience on many levels. Based on your previous great response I felt I needed to speak up. Service was lacking, though she was very professional. No offer of Pickles, no explanation. When we asked, they said they were out. Bartender actually had some and brought them to us. We ordered our appetizer, our salads, and our meals. Appetizer came out quick and was amazing as always. Our salads came out right behind tha app. I got the Caesar as always. It came out a lot smaller than usual, same price, no cheese, and bad quality lettuce. Extremely soggy croutons, to the point I couldn't eat them. My husband asked for an extra dressing and didn't get it until I was done with my salad. Right before our meals came out the server told me that I would have to wait another 15 minutes for a baked potato or oder something else. (It was after 6pm. My food would've been cold so I got the mashed potatoes and gravy. Meals came. My steak, I ordered medium rare as usual, was rare. Red cold center. I don't send food back. I've been in the business for 25+ years, that part is on me but I've seen too much in the best establishments. Our broccoli was stone cold and overcooked. Mashed potatoes were great, but I didn't get gravy and waited forever to get it. Plus I really look forward to the baked potatoes at Ted's. No refills or offer. I could only eat about half my meal, and couldn't help but be disappointed. I left hungry and kind of down. We have always had perfection here and this was a blow. We will come back, but I thought you would want to know for improvement and...

We stopped here for lunch to recuperate from furniture shopping. It was our first time here so we weren't sure what to expect, but the warm, cozy interior won us over as soon as we shuffled through the revolving door. We were greeted warmly and promptly seated. I recommend the booths as they are separated from each other and provide a nice intimate bit of privacy. Everything on the menu looked good and it took us a while to decide, but our server was patient and very friendly, checking up on us without being annoying. We ordered three sandwiches: two Red Rocks, one with a grilled chicken breast and the other a bison burger, and one Green and Hot with a grilled chicken breast. Sides were a kale salad and two 50-50's - half fries, half onion rings. Let me start with the sides first. The fresh cut fries were absolute perfection. Hot, delicious, and not over-salted. The onion rings were a must have. Lightly breaded , nicely seasoned, and not greasy at all. Best onion rings I've ever had. You can also get them as an appetizer. The kale salad was surprisingly vibrant with flavor, gently drizzled in a robust vinaigrette that just made it taste fantastic. The sandwiches: OUTSTANDING! The grilled jalapeno in the Green and Hot lived up to it's name, providing a cheeky spice that literally had tears running down my cheeks past the big smile on my face. The chicken in the sandwiches was so tender and moist, nicely char-grilled, that I stopped regretting my dieterary decision to avoid a burger. I did taste the bison burger, though, and have to say it was very lean but also full of flavor, and the assortment of condiments on all the sandwiches just bonded together and filled my mouth with joy. We'll definitely be back here perhaps to try one of the entrees. The steaks sound super-delicious!

The Buffalo sign out front is very inviting, and my wife and I really wanted to like this place for burgers. When you walk in, you are greeted with a funny smell and outdated decor. My first reflex was to leave, but my wife suggested sitting at the bar. This was a better idea, but ultimately, i should have stuck with my gut. They have complimentary housemade half sour pickles. They were ok, not a fan. We decided to get the salt and pepper onion rings and split the red rock burger with fries. The onion rings were some of the worst i have had. It was a decent portion for an appetizer, but the breading was tough and under seasoned. Wife said they were undercooked, but they didn't seem doughy. I think they might have been better if they were done extra crispy and heavily salted. The red rock burger was ordered medium with the Z sauce on the side with fries. The burger was cooked accurately and came with the z sauce on the side, but on the ciabatta too. The sauce seemed like it was strawberry preserves. Kinda gross. The burger was ok, and if I came back, I would order a normal cheese burger. The fries were soggy and underwhelming. The staff were friendly and helpful.

This is an amazing restaurant! From the decoration, to the food, to the service. It was flawless! This restaurant specializes on Bison Meat, which delicious and also one of the best meats you can eat. Lots of benefits! We came in on a Monday around 6:45 pm with reservations for a party of 9. We showed up, walked in, no wait time, they had our table all set and ready to go. The hostess and our waitress were both very friendly and professional. Our waitress Angelica, gave us some excellent recommendations for our dinner and dessert! She was very attentive and helpful. Her service was superb! From the chicken salads, to the bison burgers, to the French fries, and the dessert, everything was so good! The bison meat was very well cooked and seasoned, it was juicy and fresh. The chicken salad was also amazing, we could taste the freshness of all the ingredients. They offer inside seating only, it is a very nice restaurant inside, very casual! Excellent for groups or for just an party of two. Atmosphere is just perfect, not too loud, and not to quite! We definitely enjoyed our time there! Hope we get to come back to Jacksonville soon and eat here again!
