Express — Local services in Jacksonville

Second time I've come to this store to make a purchase. I usually purchase online monthly for work attire.

Once again the service here is absolutely lacking, no "hello, may I help you"...etc etc...that's not important.

You have to flag someone down to get into the dressing room but meanwhile you have three associates assisting a single customer for the entire hour I was walking around the store collecting items and having them fall out of my arms.

The first person I spoke to couldn't assist me so I made my way back to the register where they do the most admin work I've ever witnessed in retail. When I asked the person in the dressing room where to put items I didn't want, she shrugged. I placed them and continued shopping. I picked up some more items, btw if you want a size over 6-10 you have to dig profusely or shop online. "Deal with it" is the vibe I'm getting from this place. The only thing warm about this store is the temperature, it seems to sit at a cool 78 degrees with the hopes that the cold attitudes all around balance it out.

I went in to return a suit I bought just 3 days back because my it didn’t fit my husband. They told me that I couldn’t return it bc the pocket strings were undone and the at they wouldn’t be able to resell it. Something as little as that was the reason they couldn’t take back or exchange a 300 dollar suit jacket. I would’ve understood doing an exchange even, but one of the ladies at the store came up to the cashier desk and gave me an attitude by saying “why would anyone open the strings of the pocket, if it didn’t fit.” It was just something to do to make sure it was comfortable overall. This is a nice store with a nice selection of clothing. But don't expect good customer service here at this location. As another reviewer said, and it's true; the staff doesn't welcome you in upon entering or really engage you while you shop. The cashiers are often grumpy and somewhat rude and they never ever thank you for waiting after you wait in line a long time to purchase. I've been here many times and I always just experience mediocre service here. I only come back because esthetically its a nice store to shop in and because I have loved the Express brand for 20 plus years but the staff is not...
