Sam's Pizza — Restaurant in Janesville

A friend that lives in Janesville recommended the pizzeria so I called for a pizza pick up. When I was placing my order I asked if they had jardinière as a topping Sarcastically she responded no! I proceeded to modify my toppings to pepperoni pineapple and slice beef. She again was confused on what I meant by sliced beef or beef that you put in a hot beef sandwich... She said we don't do that. I asked her you don't have it or you won't do that?!? She responded we won't do that. To myself I thought how hard can that be to just put sliced beef in a pizza to appease your customer. So again I'm modified the Pizza order. When I completed my order I asked for her name and again( in case the order was messed up I knew who to reference back to) she denied giving me a name saying that we can't give out that information, understandable... She proceeded to tell me that the pizza would be ready for pick up in 25 minutes.

I got to the pizzeria 27 minutes later. I gave them my last name to the mother, as they ask for everyone's last name. There were 3 other people in front of me they got taken care of (they also were given 25 minutes for their orders)... and I sat waiting for my pizza for an additional 35 minutes! That I accounted, 11 orders were given out before my pizza came up.

I was very disappointed with their customer service... I don't know what they thought, that I wouldn't come in for the pizza and they ran the order in when I came through the door. It wasn't a fancy Pizza it was a thin crust pizza with 3 toppings. I have no idea why they wouldn't put the order in, regardless.

I felt that they were playing games they were fully aware that the pizza order was not put in. They kept telling me that it would be up any minute throughout the whole 35 minutes that I was sitting there waiting for my pizza. It was ridiculous that they had told me 25 minutes I came in 27 minutes after that time and I sat an additional 35 minutes in there waiting area.

There are people eating in the kitchen as they are making the pizzas in the back ( against health codes) many violations. People with long hair and no hair nets, the place looks dirty, the restaurant had two men on a Friday night dining in.

When I did finally get my pizza and put it on top of the trunk of my car I opened it and saw that the toppings were scarce. I had ordered extra sauce so that they had dumped sauce on top of the cheese making it a complete mess. I would not recommend this place to anyone! They're Petty and have atrocious customer...

I will never go there again the lady was rude unpleasant and snotty to me that took my order gave me attitude the whole time I asked for a menu and got attitude because I didn't know what I wanted and was asking questions so I could determine what I wanted to order I asked do you have wings and how much? ( Mind you I was talking to my husband on the phone and had forgot the price she said for wings and asked her to repeat the price again she snottily repeated how many for how much$ )

Her reply:I suppose we could make wings I asked do you have bread sticks? Her reply :snotty cutting me short no we don't ! I said asked if they had cheese bread or garlic bread ? Her reply: she got annoyed again and said We have garlic bread cheese bread and garlic cheese

I asked how much comes in an order she said they come in 8 or 6 inches open-faced (Me knowing this terminology and what it meant I felt like I caught up to speed for understanding ) and proceeded with continuing to order garlic bread and cheese bread. I said ok can I get two 8"(8inch) pieces Her reply: ma'am they only come in so many inches like I was sure I understood her apparently not idk but I was just so done at that point I left and just called back to cancel the order not even minutes after leaving I was so fumed and disgusted I went to Jim's pizzeria and had told them what happened they were sympathetic to my bad experience and made me feel so much better they were so attentive to my needs and a warming welcome they always have great food for the right price I will always goto Jim's from here on out Sam's...

Love the pizza, hate the service. We have been here twice now to dine in. I was less than impressed the first visit and thought maybe it would be worthy of a second chance. WRONG! I highly recommend getting the pizza and taking it home or just anywhere else to eat it. Seriously, you could probably have a more enjoyable experience eating out back next to the dumpster, at least it might be quiet. And trust me, it's not the crowd that's making all the noise. There appears to only be 1 waitress running the whole place while the other couple of people sit on their butts by the cash register playing on cell phones doing absolutely NOTHING (except overexerting themselves to maybe run the cash register). The one waitress is EXTREMELY LOUD, yelling from the dining room around the corner to the people by the register or else into the kitchen. There seems to be a lot of regulars that come in so when said waitress is busy ignoring tables she's making small talk with other customers about personal business. It is so unpleasant to try and eat with a family while this loud mouth is yelling across tables to be heard around the corner about stupid stuff, not even anything pertaining to food. Just absolutely ridiculous. As far as the dining room goes, it is small and good luck seeing the menu (bring a flashlight). Will not return on account of such poor...
