I have traveled a lot and Panera has always been a staple for me. The service is always good, the food is good and consistent, and the employees typically very polite.
This location can stake a claim for the worst Panera anywhere. The mobile app has fixed the issue with order delays - now i don't have to wait, but the order accuracy is borderline comical.
By far the biggest issue with this location is food accuracy. Almost every time there is an issue with my food order. This includes issues with the food not being made correctly (has items it shouldn't, or doesn't have ones it should), quality (recently received under cooked and unrisen bread - how does NO ONE notice this???) and minor issues like missing silverware for take out orders. I never leave without unpacking my food and making sure it's right. Most of the time i catch the big stuff before i leave, but its a hassle. I'm starting to think they are screwing up my food intentionally as some sort of game because it's wrong nearly every time.
Edit: I have spoken with management twice now about their lack of quality and accuracy and they are aware of it. However, they haven't actually changed and continue to screw up regularly. If you're getting a to go order, double check it first! Take it out of the box! Changing rating from 3 to 2 stars. The food is good when it's right.
Edit2: It's been a while since my last edit and had dinner here probably another 50-75 times. Despite a completely new building, and a completely revamped menu, this place has never been worse. After many complaints to the manager, Bob, about order accuracy, they had someone checking my orders specifically. Even that guy couldn't check an order correctly. In the last month i've been there 5 times and had problems 4 times. Wrong order ticket put on pickup shelf (food was right though) Chicken salad didn't have any chicken Ran out of avocado for salad. Manager Bob personally blamed his staff and he offered to replace it with extra chicken. The guy making the salad laughed and said Bob forgot to order avocado... Found out when i opened the salad later on that they forgot the first portion of chicken. Ordered and paid for salad with Gorgonzola cheese, and didn't get it.
Top it off that the new menu is no good. The food is plain and bland now. The bread and pastry doesn't have good flavor or texture anymore. Review is now 0 stars. I don't think this place can...
Read moreI work in healthcare so I have a very limited window of time for lunch, nearly 2-3 times a week I go to the Jefferson City, MO Panera, mostly drive through due to time constraints, but sometimes I go in. Every time I’m there I order a whole Greek salad with chicken, I say “with chicken” because 98% of the time I order it, it comes without chicken. It also usually comes with half of the amount of lettuce and often without any toppings. As you can imagine, this is infuriating because, not only is this a seemingly simple order, I am very limited on time and have to physically go into the building to ask for my correct order. It gets even better, every single time I go in the building, visibly frustrated, I never get an apology & often end up waiting an extended period of time to even be addressed. This has gone on, with no exaggeration for the better part of 4 years (the duration of my employment in Jefferson City, MO). Why do I continue to return? Mostly because I clearly haven’t learned my lesson and enjoy wasting $10 on an embarrassment of a “salad” that usually consists of half of a bowl of solo lettuce, but also because I’m convinced this issue HAS to be resolved. I’ve decided that I’m going to start taking weekly photos of my $10 half bowl of lettuce with no toppings solely to inform the general public (especially those with limited lunch hours) not to waste their time and hard earned money.
Also, make sure you check your order before you drive away in the drive through because I’ve been given another vehicles order twice. Happy...
Read moreWe just purchased a you-pick-two at the Jefferson City Panera Bread. We asked for broccoli cheddar soup and a Greek salad with two dressings, no onions. We received 1/2 cup of soup and 1 and 1/4 container of dressing. On a positive note there were no red onions on the salad which is not always the case. I was not aware it was my job as the customer to take everything out of the bag and check the order.
Beyond that, when we attempted to call the store starting at 7:40 pm, no one could be bothered to answer… after three calls. We were able to listen to a nice automated message that let us know they were really busy between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm and again between 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Maybe there was a rush in the last 30 minutes of the day, and likely the workers realized this was coming and they wanted to make sure everyone got a little soup and a little dressing.
In addition, the corporate office’s line was busy at 7:45 pm—no doubt probably trying to get more broccoli cheddar soup and Greek dressing from one of the backed up ships in port. Shame on you and your staff for providing such poor service to us, two of your...
