The atmosphere was pretty great, except for the extremely jarring birthday bass filled flashing Lazer lights blasting happy birthday song. It was quite startling, and while I get the enjoyment behind doing it, maybe include a warning on the menu about the occasional flashing light, as you never know these days who is epileptic.
The wait, took a while, but I suspect that is a result of the low staff numbers everywhere is suffering due to the slow return to normal from the plague.
The rolls are hit or miss. My table had several rolls as there were 5 of us eating.
I do not recommend the roll "three times a lady" if this is abnormal, great, but the one I received, was all rice. There were about 5 large pieces, wrapped with rice wrapper, lots of rice and a pinky finger tip worth of fish in the center of each one. The sauce that in the photo, looked decorative, which I understand not duplicating it every time, but the sauce on the plate looked like how I put sauce for dipping chicken nuggets. The roll didn't say it came with the rice wrapper.
The spider roll a friend had at the table was phenomenal. I wish I'd ordered it. And a couple of the other people rolls at my table tasted amazing. But just the one looking so, bland and like a roll of rice, has me leaving a...
Read moreWorst experience I have had at a restaurant.
I waited for 30 minutes to get a table. Which wasn't their fault, I did come in around dinner rush. What was their fault was when they gave a table to someone who cut in line. Then after they were told I was supposed to be next in line, they still gave the next table to someone ahead of me. They said because I was a party of one, I needed to wait. I had already waited 20 minutes LONGER than the party of two they sat. The table even felt bad for me and asked me to join them. (I have severe anxiety so I declined their offer, although it was very nice of them.) This restaurant could care less about their customer's time.
However, that's not where this ended. They proceeded to serve everyone before me. Then when they ran my credit card they even gave my card to the WRONG person at a completely different table. The person was kind enough to give the card back and then the waitress brought my credit card to me. I will NEVER go back there again.
Outside of the experience, their food isn't even that good. I love sushi and I can say this place doesn't have anything special. Next time, I'll just go to a different...
Read moreWe ordered a take out and received one wrong thing, the Dynamite roll. Description of the roll - crab meat, cucumber, avocado, mushrooms, scallops, smelted egg, green onion. What we received was a California roll and some funky scallop side with peas, carrots, and fish eggs in a white sauce. When we called they asked us if we knew what a Dynamite roll looked like. We tried to explain it wasn't what the menu described. When we brought it in to get the proper roll, we were told we were wrong, the roll was right and everything in the description was correct. Not wanting to fight we just came back home. After reevaluating the menu and description we called back. I honestly just wanted to let them know the kitchen may not be clear on what the menu is advertising. No refund needed, would not be coming up to have an order remade after a 3rd time coming by, just truly wanted them to be aware. I received an uhm....okay, bye, and was hung up on. I've had a few bad experiences, but this was the absolute worst. We will not be giving Love Sushi our business from this point out. We will also be sure to let our friends and family know not to provide them any...
