Charleys Cheesesteaks and Wings — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

I placed a Doordash order from Charley's Cheesesteak and Wings on a Sunday at 4:02 PM. The online menu was enticing, with appetizing photos and generous-looking portions. I ordered two large Original Philly Cheesesteaks, an order of cheese and bacon fries, and a sweet tea.

My order arrived at 5:17 PM, cold and soggy. Given the $36.16 price tag, I was sorely disappointed by the quality of the food, especially considering it was just two sandwiches, a side of fries, and a drink.

My Doordash driver waited an additional 45 minutes at the restaurant after the initial estimated pickup time. Despite living only 2.3 miles away, the long wait significantly impacted the food's quality.

The restaurant offered no explanation or apology for the delay. No calls, texts, or emails were sent to inform me of the issue.

The food itself was underwhelming. The seasoning was lackluster, and the long wait time likely contributed to the cold, soggy condition, further diminishing the taste.

In hindsight, I should have paid closer attention to the reviews highlighting long wait times and mediocre food quality. Perhaps today was an exception, but I would advise others to exercise caution.

Unless Charley's management takes steps to improve customer satisfaction, I recommend avoiding this...

The bread was so soft and fresh. Everything tasted great, though I wished the bacon on cheese fries was a bit crispier/crunchier. The fries tasted like they had just sliced the potatoes- so fresh and tasty. Service was fantastic. Fernando was attentive and offered suggestions. We had the cheesesteaks this time but will be back to try the wings and (hopefully) the shakes.
