Yes, I visited this boba shop on Tuesday and got a taro coco smoothie. I did thoroughly enjoy my drink. While I was checking out, I clicked to leave a tip and the worker notified me that any tips left on the kiosk Do not go to the people who are working and that the business donât communicate with individuals individuals placing orders to the kiosk, as well as the service system at the ordering station that the workers will not receive the tip. I did appreciate the worker letting me know that he wouldnât receive the tip if it was left on the kiosk, but if the individual is working or not receiving the tip, the tip function needs to be disabled and there needs to be clear, sign, saying that any tips left on the kiosk are not given to the individual is working. I feel as this was very deceptive. Iâm willing to delete my bad review as long as the business acknowledges that they will disable the tip function on their kiosk and walk up payment processing software at the business as this is highly unfair to workers. This is the wage theft and Iâm not OK with that!!...
Read moreI recently visited this newly opened boba shop in Irving Park and ordered a classic boba tea with tapioca. At around $8, itâs pricier than the typical market rate for boba tea, which initially gave me pause. That said, the quality more than made up for it. Unlike some places where the tea can feel watery or overly sweet, this shop nails a perfectly balanced sweetness that I really appreciated.
I didnât notice sweetness level options on the menu, but Iâd bet the friendly staff would adjust it if you prefer something less sweetâjust ask! Beyond the drinks, the vibe is a big plus. Theyâve got board games, making it an awesome spot to hang out with friends. They also offer fruity boba tea options if youâre into that.
Iâm giving it 4 stars because the price is a bit steep, but the taste and atmosphere make it worth a visit. Iâll...
Read moreLetâs talk about this weird place
They have not removed any branding of the old company after months, including the interior. They simply put AI generated party supplies that are space themed inside the original beautiful aesthetic of the space.
Half of the time it smells like piss inside
The menu is all low quality American bar food despite being a boba place.
The beverages are okay, but expensive.
There is always only one person there. They rarely will have time to take your order immediately because they are so busy âcookingâ and putting the drinks together, and they never have help.
Itâs a creepy, weird spot that seems to just be capitalizing on cheap rent and are spending as little as possible on making the place nice...
