Went back hoping for repeat good experience. Although still improved to what it was a couple years ago, my steak was disappointing flavor - yet the service was excellent. After emphasizing how I wanted my steak cooked, closer to medium rare, it came back medium well. I just don't find a steak tasteful when it's cooked medium to medium-well gray color. I like a steak red to pink. And being one not to waste, and given I didn't pay a fortune for the steak, I ate it rather than request another be prepared to my liking. It'll likely be a long while before I make a return visit. The only thing that would get me back sooner would be if the gorgeous brunette server were to wait on me. Her lovely smile and beauty might take my mind off the less than satisfactory tasting steak.
UPDATE: After several years hiatus due to extreme disappointment, I visited Logan's Wednesday evening to sample their Wednesday sirloin special. To my delight, my experience was MUCH improved over my previous visit. The steak was prepared as I had requested and it was tasty; the green beans were delicious and the steak fries were some of the best I've eaten - taste of actual potato with excellent temperature. Dinner rolls were piping hot and butter melted perfectly into the bread. Server was pleasantly attentive. I'm delighted to have experienced such positively extreme difference this visit. I suspect I will be returning. Wishing you a satisfactory experience.
Previously: Hungry for sirloin, I decided to visit Logan's. It had been a couple years since I last visited, having been a regular at the St. Matthew's location. The steak looked great when served, but the taste was ...well, nearly tasteless. Although I'm certain it wasn't, it tasted as if it had been long frozen and cooked frozen before thawing. It's the only time in life I dreaded eating a steak dinner after tasting the first bite of steak - I forced myself to eat the meal. The green beans were slightly better. The dinner role was tastier than the steak or green beans. I suspect I will not visit again; the meal provided no dining pleasure except for my gratitude to afford to pay for the experience. I am glad to see four star reviews for Logan's because I want to support and see Kentucky businesses succeed, but I also want to provide genuine reviews for curious potential customers. I hope your dining experience at Logan's is favorable - as were most of my experiences at Logan's in St. Matthew's years ago. ** Logan's replied below, and I very much appreciate their respectful reply to my review. Accordingly, I will likely...
Read moreI was entertaining a client and decided to walk to Lance from our hotel next-door so we could enjoy a couple of cocktails. We arrived in the restaurant was not quite half full. We placed a drink order and told the waitress to come back in a minute or two for our appetizers.
She came back in a couple minutes Water to take our appetizer order and went to the kitchen to place it.
When she brought the appetizers to the table, we placed our entrée orders and asked where our drinks were She indicated that they’re really backed up at the bar, but they’re working at them.
We finished our appetizers and they brought our food and we asked where our drinks were and they were still working on them. In total, we waited 32 minutes for our drinks, our appetizers were gone, and we already begun eating our meal.
No offer was made by the manager to cop anything and I believe that was because the manager was the reason our drinks relate because he was Filling in as a bartender. We asked for a comp on our drinks and the waitress went to ask the bartender/manager, and he told her to go and ask the visiting manager who was up from Tennessee for her approval. The visiting manager finally comped our drinks, but it kind of ruined our evening and set the tone. In total, we waited 34 minutes for the bartender/manager to finally get caught up enough to make our drinks.
I not understand why this restaurant was never know more than half full of customers. The manager should be put under a performance improvement plan Immediately. Our server was more than kind and professional, trying to keep her chin up while representing bad management. We left our server with a very generous tip after she told us that it does not get shared The bar staff.
Next time we’re gonna grab an Uber and go to...
Read moreI’m not one to complain but there’s a first for everything. I use to work for Logan’s Roadhouse in Frankfort back in 2013 and the standard of food was on point. From flavor to temperature everything was at its best back then. Me and wife a daughter decided for some reason to dine for dinner here over Texas Roadhouse which is a big choice because Texas Roadhouse is always on point. Atmosphere was okay nothing special, it’s just as I remember it when I use to work for the company. Noah our service expert was GREAT! Love his attitude and demeanor, and should continue on the path to become a service manager, I see great things ahead for the kid. Chips and Queso was pretty tasty, bread was good as remembered. However, when our meals came out my medium porter house steak was cool to the temperature and pale looking. The broccoli was cool as well. Bake potato was hot due to foil wrap which is a step up from where the company use to be with their bake potatoes, but the meal was just underwhelming to say the least. Though our server Noah was generous enough to get us 20% off our bill, the discount is not what I really cared for as we have been blessed financially to pay our way. Food quality as in taste and temperature is what I look forward to when dinning out. To be honest the food was as if I warmed left overs in a microwave for a short period of time. I didn’t even both to order the brownie as I was excited to have for dessert for fear of it being sub par as well and cool. So I pay and leave the restaurant as a unsatisfied customer and my palette has not been amazed at all. Well I guess lesson learned sometimes you gotta stick with the norm! Texas Roadhouse it is from here on out, because I know they will...
