DO NOT use this hotel for a wedding block... I had SEVERAL guests call to try and book a room and they COULDNT FIND OUR WEDDING BLOCK and said they had no wedding recorded for this day.. they made guests book with the full price because they didn't have our wedding listed.. We then sent them our invite list and had them go through every single guest to make sure they got added to our block and so they didn’t have to pay. Roxie was HORRIBLE to work with. Never answered calls. Never called back when we left voicemails. I had to go in person to take care of things and still didn’t get everything taken care of..you would have thought she would have called 2 weeks before a wedding but after i went in person she never responded to us again. She made excuses about why she hadn't called back in weeks.. but I'm sorry, if you can't handle your job, don't do it???
When we went to check in rehearsal dinner day, they COULDNT FIND MY ROOM AND BRIDESMAIDS ROOMS. We had to wait 30 minutes before they could give us a room and figure out what was going on. we requested to be placed on separate floors from the groomsmen weeks in advance and because of their mess up with losing our room were only a few rooms away.. it made it more difficult than it should have been on wedding morning. i know this isn't a big deal but we made a note of it weeks in advance and our thoughts weren't respected.
The only reason to go to this hotel would be to work with one of the ladies at the front desk, i didn't quite catch her name but She was beyond nice and accommodating and made sure we had everything in place during wedding weekend. She even offered to bring in ribbon from her home to place on my out of town guest bags. she was absolutely fantastic and understands what customer service is. Lacey also helped tremendously with booking rooms because Roxie couldnt do her job. We were told they’ve had several complaints about her already so it wasn’t just us. So Roxie made excuses that she has a lot of hotels she’s coordinating, but I don’t care about excuses, it’s your job. Get it done. She should be fired. She never contacted us during WEDDING WEEK which you would think would be important to verify all of our details!!!! She was HORRENDOUS. NOT FRIENDLY.
Oh and I was charged $1000 for one room because they accidentally charged $999.00 instead of $99.00 I’m glad I caught it before we checked out the next morning because it took 2 business days to get back and we need all of our money for the honeymoon! The man at the front desk was extremely apologetic and helped fix it immediately. It got fixed TWO WEEKS LATER after i had to call and complain.
This was the worst vendor to work with. I chose them because they were new and cheaper but I should have gone with a more expensive hotel. You get what...
Read moreFound this hotel on expedia. It was offered to me $20 less than the one I was going to choose so I gave it a shot. Up on arriving it was a bit strange trying to get to it off of the highway, but that's not their fault! Check in was a breeze, the lobby was super cute and cool. Getting up to the room was easy, finding the room was easy, etc. When I walked into the room I was very happy! Everything was SUPER CLEAN! There wasn't a dresser for my clothes but I was only staying the night. There was a fridge, but no microwave. The tv was huge, but it wasn't smart (no netflix), and no Louisville City match! Staying in the city I wanted to see it on tv. The bed, oh my god the bed was the best part! I need to buy this bed! It is so comfortable! I slept so dang good, I'm truly in love. I would stay here just for the bed! The pillows were a little weird, only 3. The blankets didn't want to stay on? They kept slipping and sliding all night, lol. The bathroom was gorgeous! Toilet had a button (I love that feature). I found the soaps aggravating. They're long tubes that say "squeeze gently," but then a ton of liquid comes out. I couldn't win. The shower was very nice, even a foot rest. My main issue with the bathroom was that there was no fan to help not only if the smell of using the bathroom, but the condensation from the humidity of taking a shower. So after your shower then Tire ceiling is filled with condensation and starts dripping all over the floor. I have stayed in another Hilton hotel that is a similar build and they have the same issue there as well. We ended up ordering dinner and having it sent to the room, Pizza of course. Whenever we wanted to reheat it we had to go downstairs and look for the microwave, it is hidden underneath the counter. I did find that a bit of an inconvenience because I would have liked to have stayed in my pajamas in my room rather than have to go all the way back to the first floor. I did not get a chance to use the gym, but it did look very nice. There was a water fountain right outside where I got to refill my water bottle and it tasted extremely good. All of the snacks and water bottles do you have to pay for. I did not get a chance to eat any of the breakfast, but I smelled it inside of the elevator and it smelled very good. Upon checkout, you get to drop your room keys in a bowl and walk out as an "express checkout" option. Outside there was a very pregnant employee smoking and not Only is that a bad image for the hotel, but I worry about the baby's health.
Overall I would DEFINITELY stay here again. The bed was the best I've...
Read morePositives: Bed was very comfortable. I suffer from back issues but slept very well. Impressive selection of pillows for a hotel (one king size firm and 2 standard on each queen bed).
The breakfast was very good. Scrambled "eggs" weren't sopping wet or overly cooked, wonderfully flavored sausage patties, and many other selections to choose from.
There is a small fridge (no freezer) in the room, but no coffee maker.
Negatives: The bathroom sink was totally backed up, water barely drained so we had to use the water sparingly.
2 wall mount spaces next to sink for soap and lotion but there was no soap, only 2 lotions. The shower has 3 wall mounts for shampoo, conditioner and body wash, but the shampoo was empty. To wash our hands we had to climb into the shower to reach to the far end of the mounts for the body wash. I mentioned this to the front desk at checkout and she said they "just got the shipment in". My question - if they knowingly had zero hand soap in the building why not use one body wash and one lotion, instead of 2 lotions? Makes zero sense...
The floors all over the room and bathroom were cleaned or polished with something that left an oil slick-like residue. As someone who suffers from back issues it was scary to amble around the room - tried my flip flops and tennis shoes but neither helped.
We got a room with 2 queen beds (3 adults). There is only one very small table between the beds, though there is ample space to fit two small tables on the outside of each bed - I had to drag a chair over to my side of the bed so I could use it as a nightstand.
There is one dimmable light switch which controls 3 overhead bed lights, which we didn't like (no bedside lamp). For a room with 2 beds I don't think this was thought through. If you want to fall asleep before the people using the other bed at least one person is suffering. Either one person on one bed has to sit in the dark, or the other person on the other bed has to try to fall asleep with lights shining directly in their eyes.
It was raining when we checked out. With 3 adults traveling in 2 cars around the country for 2 months we had a fair amount of luggage. There is no porte cochére/portico/overhang roof at the lobby entrance so everything got wet when we...
