I came into this hotel to stay on business and just fell in love with it from the start. I absolutely loved the decor as soon as you walk into the hotel. All new furniture at the front and brand new tile throughout the first level. The Lady that checked me in Janisa was great. I asked to talk to a manager and Pam came to the front. She was a breath of fresh air to talk to. I asked if i could see multiple rooms to decide on what i wanted. She was more than happy to show them to me. All the hallways had new beautiful carpet. The rooms all had newly renovated bathrooms with gorgeous tile in the showers, New tile in the bathrooms, and new vanities. I chose a King Room on the 2nd floor which was wonderful. The beds were brand new and slept great. No noise no reason to ever stay at any other hotel. If you have been here before or during the renovations then you must go back and try it out. If you have never been i highly recommend giving them a shot. For the room rate you cant beat it. The breakfast had all new seating which made great eating during the morning. Huge selection of items on the bar. Beside the already mentioned staff members , Margos, Erick, Alisha, and Susan were all great. One of their hidden talents was a guy named James. He was great every time i saw him in the hallway he always spoke to me and asked me how my stay was. He extended his hand in case i needed anything. They asked for a 10 on a survey and i would give them...
Read moreIt was really hard not to check out and find other accommodations. The staff was kind and doing their best but the building was run down, the room was surprisingly much cleaner than expected. However, the curtains in the room looked like they were from the House of Horrors! Bad! Falling apart, dirty, seems like an easy fix to take those out and put up a rod and cheap curtains, would be 100x better! The windows in the check in area were so dirty, I stopped my car as we pulled in and said “this doesn’t look good.” Chipping paint on exterior and would not be my choice driving through the area in comparison to neighboring properties. Peeling wallpaper all over the lobby check in area. It felt like the building had sat vacant and someone decided to flip the lights back on and open up as is. The heat in our room only worked on super hot and high, one of our friends had a space heater unit in their room? I wasn’t entertaining the pool based on what I had already seen, I did notice no chlorine smell at all and figured that wasnt a good sign. I do want to again say the staff was friendly and were doing their best, I felt bad for them and honestly that’s probably why I sucked it up and stayed for one night. I did not sleep well. Disappointed this was given as an option for our travel sports accommodations while visiting for a tournament. Will look closure at hotel reviews going further before I book what is offered for our “team” hotel at...
Read moreThis was the 4th hotel we stayed at on my trip. This one for 2 days.
The room size was nice. The room was clean. The staff was nice. Unfortunately, the pool was not as clean as I hoped. This could be result of staying after a weekend. But, the bottom of the indoor pool had a multitude of small rocks on it. The water didn't really seem to be dirty. I just think it needed vacuuming.
The breakfast was good and quite busy both days we stayed. The lady in attendance for the most part was very nice. She apparently isn't allowed to take much time in shutting things down or she had to get to another job. Once 9 AM hit, the pleasantries went away and she was on a mission. It was the same way both days.
WiFi was an issue. We had 5 internet connectable devices. Three of which only connect via WiFi. We were told that all you had to do was connect to WiFi and a browser window would open so we could acknowledge the rules. This only happened about 1/4 of the time. They had two SSIDs to connect to. I never got the browser window with the first and the one identified as 3 sometimes would work, but most of the time it did not. Thankfully, my wife and I were able to hotspot our phones so we could get the other devices on the Internet.
Overall, it was...
