Butter Bakery — Restaurant in Jersey City

Thought this spot was going to re-open as yet another cafe downtown, but calling butter a cafe would be doing it a disservice. The baked goods here are front and center (like a lovely jewelry store) and deserve all the attention. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious and the flavors are rich, layered, and unique. I’ve been obsessed with the blue corn muffin and get it every time. The staff and owner are warm and friendly and make you feel right at home. Coffee is also delicious as it comes from their sister store, Hybrid. I’ve been sharing my review by word of mouth but wanted to post publicly because they deserve their flowers 💐!!

The team I met there were all very friendly and helpful! They have really interesting and delicious pastries and drinks you don’t often see offered at coffee or pastry shops while also offering the more standard options.

It was cool to see them making the dough for their pastries in the kitchen.

My boyfriend and I were walking past it and decided to stop by! Turns out it was their opening day. The shop is cute with a variety of baked goods to choose from. I got the ube vanilla matcha.
