Fortune — Restaurant in Jersey City

Unfortunately, I will NEVER go back to this restaurant and advise others who care about their health to do the same. I was the only one in the restaurant on this Friday evening. I placed my order for a small chicken fried rice with the young woman who was busy on the phone taking orders. As I stood waiting, I observed the cook on the 1st grill (cooking chicken wings,) in a t-shirt and shorts without any gloves on. It caused me a bit of concern but not as much as when I watched him repeatedly use his hands to wipe his forehead and nose. I then observed him grab a pair of tongs, open the plastic bag with the tongs but then used his hands to open the bag wider and place the chicken wings in. I was horrified! This continued for the next 15 minutes as I watched in utter shock that he would be doing this with food ESPECIALLY in this COVID-19 pandemic. I watched him move to the refrigerator to get something. At this time, I moved to position myself at an opening between where you place your order and the kitchen to ensure I would be able to make eye contact with him. When he closed the refrigerator door, and was in my direct eye sight, I said to him, " Excuse me...stop wiping your nose and your forehead!!!" The cook just looked at me like a deer in the headlights...he just hung his head down. At this time, the young lady who was taking orders started speaking to him in Chinese. I then watched him grab a towel and place it over his shoulder, hanging his head sheepishly. I then focused my attention on the other cook who was prepping my chicken fried rice to ensure he didn't follow the same practices as the 1st cook. When it was time to pay for my food, I asked for additional duck sauce, At first the young woman was hesitant but then with a smile, she dropped a whole bunch of extra duck sauce in the bag probably hoping this would appease me...it didn't which is why I had to write this review. I usually order from here over the phone for delivery or thru Uber eats but last night I actually came into the store the very first thing I noticed is that the tables and chairs were dirty the tables looked like they haven’t been cleaned in weeks then the floor was absolutely disgusting..I wanted to try something new so I ordered shrimp with garlic sauce when I got home and opened my food to eat to my surprise I only got 5 shrimp.. $9 for 5 shrimp is a rip off all that rice and 5 shrimp are you serious who was I feeding a...

This is my FAVORITE Chinese restaurant because of the taste of the food. It’s really hard to find a place with the perfect yellow pork fried rice. The rice is the way I like it, and I’ve never have I gotten bad food. The food always tastes fresh. However, I’ve seen some nasty pictures posted on here, I’m a bit scared but if I’m honest I’ve never had an issue with this place. I’ve been a loyal customer for over 2 years. I’ve never gone to the restaurant myself, I always order take out and the food arrives...
