Viva Mexico — Restaurant in Jersey City

Walked to this place Aug. 2020 during Covid pandemic. Mask required sign on the door.

As I made my order I noticed the man standing near the counter who wasn’t wearing a mask and didn’t have a mask anywhere visible. I asked the guy behind the counter if masks were required he said yes and I looked at the man standing there. He begins talking to the man in Spanish and the other guys starts smirking. Apparently not making any effort to correct the situation. During this exchange I see a woman come from the back of the restaurant and go into the kitchen who is also not wearing a mask. From what I could see most other people in the back were wearing masks.

So the guy next to the counter, I had no idea who he was whether he was the delivery guy or what but he clearly had no intention of wearing a masks and the cashier obviously had no desire to enforce the policies so I ask for a refund. He says you already ordered. And I said yes, however you all are not following your masks policy and I just saw another woman go into the kitchen without a masks. Long story short he gives me my refund and says a slight low apology. No effort whatsoever to rectify the situation.

Other than that. When I first came in the woman who was taking my order just abruptly left without any explanation as if she didn’t want to take my order.

The cashier was nice but no one there made any effort to correct the situation and I felt like even before this the staff was rude. Let alone we’re in the middle of a pandemic, businesses are suffering and people are dying. Yet people can’t even wear masks and enforce...

worst customer service ever, they think their regular customers are lying to them when they complain about over half of the order missing. We ordered food through their website. Order came after 1 hour, delivery person rang the bell and left before I open the door. There was only 1 item while i ordered 4. I immediately called them and manager kept blaming us as if i am lying. I am regular customer here. After 20 minutes of back and forth they are resending my order now. But manager want us to give them back what we received as she wants to see we were not lying. Its their mistake, but did not hear apology from manager, and extremely condescending tone on phone. Screw you guys. Never coming back to your place. There are other good Mexican restaurants in this neighborhood. Needless to say I will have to wait almost 2 hours for my lunch due to whole drama while i am...

I HAVE WENT HERE MANY OF MANY OF TIMES ... AND IN PERSON THESE PEOPLE ARE DECEIVING !!! MY PREGNANT WIFE JUST ORDERED AND THE ORDER CAME WRONG .. WHEN SHE CALLED THE LADY TOLD HER SHE HAD NO IDEA WHAT SHE ORDERED BUT MENTIONED SOMETHING FROM THE ORDER THAT WASNT MENTIONED ON THE PHONE ... AFTER A FEW CALLS AND AFTER MY WIFE WAS HUNG UP ON BY THE DISRESPECTFUL FEMALE AND TOLD SHE NEEDS TO RESPECT THE WORKER .. LONG STORY SHORT ..THEY ARE DISRESPECTFUL ! AND UN PROFESSIONAL ! THAN THE WOMAN BEGAN TO PICK UP ..THAN HANG UP ... LUCKILY I HAVE FRIENDS IN THE BBB , INSPECTORS , ALSO I HAVE MANY FRIENDS IN I.C.E WHICH IM GONNA HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH .. I REALLY HOPE DISRESPECTING THE WRONG PREGNANT WOMAN WAS WORTH IT ! NEVER DOING BUSINESS AGAIN...
