After submitting an $85 application with three pay statements (easily over 5 times the rent), my driver's licence and copy SS card, Veronica Rosario accused me of not making enough money. I pointed her to the correct section of the application, which she had not read thoroughly. Then she accused me of not uploading supporting documentation, despite aforementioned driver's licence and SSN - uploaded at the time of application. The she asked for six more pay statements - yes SIX. I provided them. Then she "escalated the application to management" (not at my request - I was over it by this time). Then she denied my application. I wonder if the drama has anything to do with the black photograph on my driver's license. I won't bother asking for a partial refund of my application fee, as Historic Downtown Property Management is one of "those"...

Read moreThe living space in our apartment on Steuben is great, however the other issues you are faced with while living here do not make it worth it. From ceilings leaking water whenever it rains, to construction coating your room with debris shards, plumbing issues, cockroach infestations, completely opened mailboxes, and constant stolen/opened packages. Reporting issues to management will get you nowhere, not even a courtesy response most of the time. The repair men will try to fix issues in the apartments, however many problems seem like they require bigger renovations as opposed to small bandaids. Would recommend taking...
