My husband And I came to this bagel shop after an appointment around 830AM on a Friday. There was a line outside as they have strict CoVid guidelines and quality control. After waiting about 5 minutes, my husband goes in and orders 2 bagels one with butter and other with cream Cheese and orange juice. He pays with his credit card. As he is walking out, crossing the street; The same person who took the order, gathered the order and accepts his payment comes running out AFTER my husband walks out the business and says "HEY DID YOU PAY" yelling of course with the crowd watching. WOWO! This is so unprofessional and inappropriate.
Now, I know it was EARLY but was it so early that you forgot the exact person you just took an order for, swiped his credit card AND handed him a receipt???
I'm not sure if he was having a bad day, just busy or the fact that my Husband is a minority. Who also happened to Be The ONLY minority in the business at that time, but customer service was HORRIFIC! It was unnecessary and embarrassing for NOTHING.
Oh! and I forgot to mention, my husband had his receipt in his hand which was VERY visible. (...Honestly, should that even matter ? Hmm...receipts must be visible now ???)
Anyway, I digress...
In times like today where over 40 million people are unemployed due to CoVid, local businesses should have MORE appreciation for customers and their patronage AND should be more aware of what's going on in their establishment.
As far as the bagels go, we paid 10.50 for 2 bagels, orange juice and an unpleasant...

We visited this bagel shop this afternoon, and unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience. When we arrived, the shop was empty, but the music was blasting at an excessively high volume. While it’s understandable to want a lively weekend atmosphere, this level of noise was far from enjoyable.
I placed my order and had to repeat it several times because the employee at the counter couldn’t hear me over the music. When our order was ready, I realized my coffee was missing. The manager(?), a skinny, older gentleman, came from the back and asked, “What are you waiting for?” in a rather unfriendly tone. When I explained that my coffee had been forgotten, he handled it, but the overall attitude was not welcoming.
I also asked if it was possible to turn the music down a little since there were no other customers, and we were planning to eat inside. His response was, “No, it’s not possible, and you’re the first to ever mention the music is loud. There’s nothing wrong with the volume.” Well, there clearly was something wrong if we were shouting just to be heard.
Feeling unwelcome, we scarfed down our food as fast as we could and left (it was freezing outside, otherwise we would not even stay). Lesson learned—and paid for with our own money—we won’t be coming back. Thankfully, there’s a new bagel shop by the Path Station that we’ll happily...
Read moreSo I have to say my five stars are for the bagel quality ONLY. If I gave a separate rating for efficiency then this place would get ZERO stars. The employees are friendly and hard-working BUT the system for ordering is a joke! There are usually four guys taking orders and filling them. Rather than having a system where people order, pay and then wait for their food to come out, each employee takes one order and then fills it before taking the next. This leads to GIANT lines that wrap around the block and wait times of almost an HOUR. This is a disaster for someone like me who just wants to get a bagel 'as-is' and leave. Each customer has to wait for every single person's order to be filled and served before they can order. I've never seen anything like it before and if baffles me and many other frustrated customers. I no longer come here on weekends because of the insane wait times. And it could all be fixed if they took orders and filled them all at once or if they had some people taking orders, others in an assembly line making the orders, and a third person at the register. It would be so easy to fix and would make customers happier and would make their business a...
