Only giving part of this a 2 solely because of one worker there that truly cared about my man’s allergy.
I placed an order online like I usually do. Placed it at 7:27pm. Got there at 7:43 and it still wasn’t even started.
Walked in and stood at the register, wasn’t greeted. Manager on duty (who I didn’t know at the time was the manager) saw me, ignored me and as another person walked up behind, they were greeted with a big smile and immediately handed their order. I mentioned i was here for a pickup for Jullien and was told “it’s being worked on” and then walked off.
Already irritated at this point. I stood med back, Watching the team work, I saw the manager making the most obnoxious comments to his employees. He told one guest “sorry if this guy behind me (forgot his name but the guy on the grill) would hurry up maybe ur order would be ready on time” and then to another employee “sorry just gonna cut in front of you like I would in traffic without a blinker” which didn’t seem rude but u can tell these employees are already over this guys talking.. the team looked so stressed out. Just a bunch of sly comments to his employees.
I watched 10 people walk in and order food, then walk out with their food while I’m waiting for an online order that should’ve been done 30 minutes ago.
Finally started making my order. I watched them make one of the sandos. Then they got to the GF allergy sando… and I’ve never felt so unsafe watching them make this sandwich. They made the gluten free allergy right where they made other sandos with gluten all over the station. Didn’t clean the station, didn’t scrub the grill, no allergy procedures at all. Like these team members were not properly trained. I waited until it was done and noticed it also had cheese on it. (I ordered it without cheese) So no modifications followed and no allergy procedures followed. Manager on duty was only maybe 3 feet away from this all happening and no corrections made.
My boyfriend has celiac.. he can’t even have a spec of gluten in his system or he gets stupid sick. 🤦🏼♀️
So that’s when I, asked the employee. From what I’ve seen this was all made on the same station, same table that other (not allergy) sandos were made on.. so we’re all allergy procedures followed? And the employee says oh well.. it was put on gluten free bread so it’s allergy safe. And I had to explain his whole allergy to the employee and how sick he would get if he even had a crumb of gluten in his system. He was extremely apologetic and said he wanted to remake the sando. Manager walked up with an irritated attitude. Asked what was going on. Employee told him what happened. Manager cuts him off and says about 3 times “did u follow procedure?” And the employee admitted “I don’t really know what the procedure is” Manager said whatever I’ll make it myself. Instead of immediately remaking it, he helps other people in line first (walk ins) before starting our remake which as this point… is an hour late. I finally watch him make the sando the right way. With the cockiest attitude. Didn’t apologize the entire process. Then he came over and handed me my food, still with no apology. And gave me a “we will credit u back for this” and that was it.
Employees all looked like they wanted to help as much as they could and they weren’t trained properly. Craziest experience in the celiac life so far..
The employee who helped, honestly will make a great manager someday, but the manager on duty.. must only be there because he can make sandwiches quickly. Because customer...

Life is so stunningly misrepresented in its entirety. Everyone desires to engage in the micro-economics while that leaves quite a healthy and deliberate amongst the larger issues at hand and frankly the more difficult issues currently underway in this society as a whole and it doesn't matter what color or state or hood the person is from.

Read moreMy mom went there and specifically asked if their bread had sesame, the person DID look it up and originally (on their site) and it said NO. When my mom took her second bite, her throat started to close up and she immediately took a Benadryl. She then asked Google if Jersey Mike's bread DOES contain sesame, according to corporate. When my mom told the person it DID infact contain sesame according to corporate, they didn't even offer to replace her sandwich for a bowl or something. Corporate needs to get their information straight and update the Jersey Mike's website, because someone who has an allergic reaction could end up in the hospital, which is wherey mom would have ended up had she not had...
