I am very upset with the staffing of this location, I came here to eat with my friend and they mixed up our salads. 1st the lady that first started to take our order didn't know very well english and i am fine with that. my problem is that when i started ordering my food in english (i'm assuming she guessed that i spoke spanish since i look hispanic) and said to me directly in spanish and said "In spanish is better" since i kept ordering my food in english since that is what I AM MOST comfortable with. I didn't want to be rude so i ordered the rest of mine and my friends food in spanish. 2nd when the lady passed the salad to the guy who's name i beleive is alejandro she didn't specify to him which salad has what and since the ranch was already poured on there me and my friend couldnt see the vegetables that we picked so the guy ended up mixing our salads when he put the type of meat and chicken we wanted. 3rd when we went to get our drinks the coke fountain was pouring watery coke i don't know how to explain it but it wasnt as dark brown as it usually is at this point there's only one customer that the store has in line and all three of them were talking to the customer and we are waiting for them to help us with the fountain machine. When the guy finally came over to help my friend starts to tell him in english if he can help her or to see what's wrong with the machine and the guy looks very confused and he tells me he doesn't understand and i have to explain to him in spanish At this point i'm realizing that all of the staff there only know spanish which is okay but if you're going to run a business atleast have one person of staff who also knows english because what happens when someone walks in and doesn't know any spanish what so ever? In the end me and my friend started eating the salad and ended up picking each other's vegetables off of each others salad because we didn't want the staff to think we are trying to complain to get the food for free. I wasted $40 to not even enjoy my food not even one bit. Definitely...
Read moreJust left the 290 and fm 1960 location. The lady preparing my salad was a total sweet heart. However, there was an employee that was very rude and snobbish. I was the first customer there and greeted her upon approaching the she ignored my greeting and asked if I wanted a salad or wrap. I ignored her rudeness and replied a salad. Her coworker must have sensed the vibe and came over to make my salad instead. After the polite and respectful person finished my salad, the rude one brought her uncivilized self over to ring me up. Again, the attitude was nasty. I continued to be dignified and ignored this behavior. Before adding the tip to the credit payment I asked if the tip goes to the lady that prepared the salad. She replied that they all get it. I didn’t add it to the card payment. She asked if I wanted a receipt and I told her no. She stormed off. At that moment I asked to speak to a manager. I explained that the young lady was rude and needed more training on being polite to customers. The manger seemed concerned so I want suggest that the issue won’t be properly addressed. I handed the tip to the awesome lady who made my salad. FYI this location is nice and clean, but it’s not the first time I felt like the employees didn’t have the best customer service in terms of interactions.
Update: Today for the first time, I returned to the location where I had my unpleasant experience. The young lady that I complained about in my original post was there. She was very profession, polite, kind and helpful! I felt like my money was valued and that’s all that...
Read moreWe go to Salata often and go to several different locations across Houston. We always have great experiences and loves going back but this location is the absolute worst. They are incredibly stingy with all the toppings and give you attitude if you ask for a little bit more nicely. The kale and iceberg lettuce looks super dry and old. When I ask for a little bit more dressing the lady said that she would have to charge. No salada has ever told me I have to pay extra for an extra half scoop. Or for any scoops. Every Salata has always told me everything is unlimited for the most part except for the proteins. I have never had a good experience at this location and I will never go back. That was the absolute last straw. The dressing even taste like they watered it down. It was super thin and non flavorful. I never have any of these problems at any other locations. I usually look forward to going to Salata but this really put a sour taste in my mouth. Location on spring Cypress and 290 in Houston is amazing. But this location is absolutely horrendous. I've gone to this location several times due to its close nature to my work over the course of a year and I've never had a good this is the last time I will ever go here. Edit after owner: Nowhere in the entire place does it say that there's an additional charge for a third scoop. I have reached out over email and I have no response. If you change of policy they should really have it posted. Regardless whether or not I have to pay for an extra scoop 50¢ is not bad. But the rest of experience was dreadful...
