I wish I could give this restaurant a zero star. My family stayed at one of the nearby hotels and thought we would give La Casa De La Fiesta a try, as we love Mexican food. BIG MISTAKE. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted with the worst attitudes by two of the female workers.
When we entered and asked for a table for 5 adults and 3 children (one being in a highchair), the young lady acted like she didn't understand, but I thought, no problem, it's just a language barrier. She walked off to ask a gentleman a question, and he told her, "Yes, seat them." - Again, I thought no problem.....WRONG...Here comes the attitudes. Waitress #1 brings chips and salsa and throws them on the table (all on one end). My mom thanks her only to be greeted with an eye roll and silence. Waitress #2 walks up to take drink orders as she tosses the menus on the table. When asked if they have Coke or Pepsi products, she rolls her eyes and says it's on the menu. You know the ones she didn't handle out but tossed a stack on the table. One drink order was given, my grandchild (9 years old) had to decide what they wanted, but I guess this was too much for Miss Waitress #2 because she proceeded to roll her eyes and sigh. Then she snapped at another member of our party, "Sir, what do you want to drink?" It was at this moment that we made the collective decision to leave. I refuse to spend my money in an establishment that acts like they don't want me there. I asked for a manager but was told by waitress #2 they didn't have one (yeah, okay). I advised the waiter that we were leaving because of the attitudes of the two waitresses. We went to a different restaurant and were greeted with smiles.
Plot twist: My brother left his phone and had to go back. He was greeted by the owner (or manager). The manager stated he heard we were there and left, and inquired as to what happened. According to my brother, he was very apologetic and offered free food. That was nice, but I don't even want free food if the person preparing it or serving it has an attitude towards me. Again, thanks for the offer,...
Read moreIt was a rainy Saturday night and we were out of town looking for a place to eat. We found La casa de la fiesta on google and decided to give it a try. We pull up and paused when we saw the empty parking lot. I don’t know why it was empty because this Mexican restaurant is like Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ himself runs it. We walk in and immediately are greeted by the warm, smiling face of our host. He proceeds to sit us and provide these hungry travelers with copious amounts of chips and salsa. He is very attentive to our needs and wants and always there. The fact that this restaurant was not so busy I had to fight an old lady and small family of 4 to get a table is a stain of disgrace on the town of Jonesboro. He even brought us out some special hot salsa that was amazing. On top of this their chips and salsa was the best I've had. When it came to ordering, the owner was like a man sent from heaven. Me and my colleagues were looking and he suggested to them the rancheros because those are the best on the menu. I asked for the enchiladas la fiesta and he said “no no, you want the enchiladas tipicas. Those are the best.” Who was I to argue with this absolute legend of a man. So you know what I did. I ordered the enchiladas tipicas. And he was right. He knew. I did want those more. To say that they were just good would be a lie. The food was so good I had a chub the whole time I was eating, there was even the threat of me exploding in my jorts. The food was exquisite. The meager, peasant servings they try to serve at other Mexican restaurants knows no home here. They served us like men who were having their last meal before being shipped overseas to fight the vietkong and it was enough food to keep me full for days. To say this place is great is an understatement, I enjoyed this place more than I have ever enjoyed the touch of a women. 5 stars is too low of a rating for it but since that is the highest it goes that is what I...
Read moreLam Casa De La Fiesta Mexican Restaurant, Jonesboro, Arkansas is so toxic the owner keeps deleting my google post reviews every month. Stay away from this Mexican restaurant.
We walked in and was met by the worst attitude from the female server and it was repulsive. She sat us down. She asked what we wanted to drink and I said two waters with a side plate of lemon slices. We got water only.
Didn’t want to make a big deal just said we are ready to order. I place my order but she asks me with “cheese deep” ? I say, what is “cheese deep”. She rolls her eyes at me and does that sound with her mouth. 20 second of silence, then again she says “do you want cheese deep” ?
I say, I don’t know what cheese deep is. She rolls her eyes again and does that gasp sound, mocking me that I don’t know what cheese deep is. I told my mother we’re leaving and go somewhere else. I asked for a manager and she said she was the manager. I will tell all my family and friends to avoid this place...
