Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Jonesboro

My husband ordered 2 veggie hummus wraps today for pickup . And after we came home and opened we realized that the order was so messed up . The dressing we picked was poured like you pour a soup in bowl , but instead of bowl it was poured inside a wrap . The photo I have attached does not even reflect 20% of the dressing that was put in . I grabbed 3 bites and this is what poured out and I had to throw rest of it out because I just couldn’t eat . And we knew it was done intentionally because we tipped just 15%. Our rule of thumb is that we tip 20% when we dine-in and 15% for takeouts .

We called the store manager and he apologized and insisted to make up for it . We did not want another order remade or a refund , so I politely denied . We appreciated the fact that the manager was apologetic and was aware of who had prepared the order and that he would communicate to that person. This experience has definitely discouraged me from ordering from this store despite the willingness of manager to make up for it . Because upon being warned , the person who prepared my order could deliberately sabotage in a not-so-obvious ways that I might not be able to tell , in the future. The fact that people who handle your food can be so grudging just discourages me from ever going here , despite the fact that the store manager was very helpful and willing to make up for the mistake. The attitude and mindset of people preparing your food makes a whole lot of difference . I am not saying that everyone who works here are unprofessional. But my experience ordering today has definitely made me cautious about ordering from this place...

I was an employee here for a day, let me tell you why it was only a day now. I went in for an interview with John Yates the main manager, seemed to be friendly maybe overly friendly which is fine. I went in for my 2nd interview to be onboarded and everything well (I am a 16 year old girl) I had to show my permit and he had made a concerning comment about my weight and body as it says my weight on my permit, I brushed it off then he really noticed and made a comment about how he is excited until I turn 21. I then left the interview feeling weird but thought maybe I won’t be working with him much so that is my first mistake, I go into work my first day 11/11/2024 he puts me in the back with only him specifically as there were many areas that were needed filled (the other girls were frustrated about how much he was keeping me in the back and not training in those areas as well as there was already another lady in the back) he then is very touchy with me and talking with me making comments about if my boyfriend breaks up with me I still have to come to work straight out of the blue. He also was sick working in the back with food the whole time coughing hardcore, he then also coughed on me. This was a very short shift 4 hours and I come home telling my mother this and she is extremely concerned, I took this as my last and final sign when I got STREP throat from this man just by coughing on me. He has also made very odd comments to the other female employees talking about come to my office for getting an answer right, please be careful if you are wanting to work here!! This is my 3rd time at this tropical smoothie Cafe and its nice inside. 1st time I came I waited 15 minutes before someone came to the register to see what I needed. I brushed it off to the fact that drive thru had orders and they were trying to keep up. 2nd visit I used drive thru service was speedy cashier was nice. 3rd visit I did drive thru again because walk-in customer service needs work. However I ordered my 2 things a drink and a side( sunrise sunset and kale and apple salad) they charged me for 3 things. Then I ate my salad and tried to drink my smoothie but kept getting big chucks of something hard. I took the chucks out my mouth to see what it was and I couldn't tell you what I was looking at it didn't melt or break down so I ended up throwing my smoothie away.
