C.R. Chicks (Indiantown Rd.) — Restaurant in Jupiter

Over-proud of what they have. Service here has (always) been smug and their offensive recent price increase was my last trip to this local business. (Positive points near the bottom).

Last time I went in, I purchased a "Drummie" (4 drumsticks with 2 sides) and a large Chicken Soup. I received a total bill of $23.00. I mentioned that I only ordered the Drummie and soup so there had to be a mistake. The girl, with a smug smile on her face explained that they raised their pricing and it was abundantly clear that she actually got joy out of telling shocked customers about the increase. I thought to myself, "well, guess I'm not coming here too often anymore". That was until I got home and found that my soup (that had almost doubled in price) had 2 (two) pieces of chicken in it, each about the size of my thumb. I almost brought it back, but realized I didn't want to be seen as a nuisance (which is how I felt every time going in there regardless).

Cost breakdown (Publix & Wal-Mart Retail References): The average price of a whole chicken is $1.67/lb. The average size of a whole chicken is 5.7 lbs ($9.52 @ $1.67/lb) I got (roughly) 1/16 of a pound in my soup (value $0.10) Whole bag of Egg Noodles (No Yolks Brand) $3.50 containing 7 servings (so $0.50 per serving). Carrots $0.98/lb. (Let's say 1/4 per serving which is generous, so $0.25) Celery $2.87/bunch (Let's again say 1/4 per serving which is again generous, so $0.72). Spices (varies, but there are not a lot of spices in the soup and definitely minimal to no salt) Let's go high and say $0.25 for spices. I'll include salt in this in case someone accidentally put some in there :D

My fiance and i picked up an online order. when he went inside and was filling his drink, a girl with brown hair made a nasty face while looking at his legs and then a light skin with tattoos and a beard said “i know it’s october but like…” and these two laughed with each other right before the comment. His legs are his biggest insecurity. my heart hurts for him. i’ve been a regular for years and i am beyond disgusted by the bullying my fiance had to endure his first time stepping foot in there. we were excited for him to try the great food. i spoke with the manager, who then essentially called me a liar, saying the employees denied it. of course they would, im the liar and not them? oh and then she claims there was a rush but when my fiance was in there , there was ONE other customer on the other side of the store. the employees were standing around as well. she then accused me of calling the wrong store, but she had no problem identifying the person and knowing who i was talking about by asking if he had a lot of tattoos. I will do all it takes to get in contact with the owner because i don’t believe there is corporate. and i will spread the word about the gaslighting bullies working at this establishment.

update: the food is amazing like i said, and i spoke with the boss of all the cr chicks and he said he’s going to give us a gift card and take care of us and handle the staffing issue. don’t let my review steer you away from eating here. Just know that if you have an experience like this, don’t just let it be. people need to be held accountable. i’m very pleased with the way he handled the situation and how...

No vegetarian nor vegan options (yes even the sides) Confirmed w/ Cooperate that there's Pork bits in the Rice & Black beans (Please note : NOT IN THEIR LIST OF INGREDIENTS ON THE MENU ) Which I had to personally call after falling extremely ill for 3 days ! My dear friend knowing I've been vegan/vegetarian going on 16 years now ; purchased the side to kindly include me. I checked and read the menu as I always do and saw NOTHING that stated pork in the rice and beans. Then literally after eating; only 45 minutes later felt like DEATH! Then both my friend & I called 2 locations to narrow down a cooperate manager, whom checked the FULL INGREDIENTS not listed on their menu thus Confirming Pork in rice and beans. Absolute negligence! ALL INGREDIENTS should always be listed on ALL MENU (Cooperate or Franchise) Never will anyone I know be near this restaurant again. I fear for Those whom have significant allergies or dietary restrictions eating ANY of this questionable "food" . A tragedy & Accident WAITING TO HAPPEN!
