Nitrogen Bar, Grill, and Sushi — Restaurant in Jupiter

Well ...... (that’s a deep subject) First time and last time ever! We will NEVER visit this fine establishment again. My wife and I walked in only to stand at the hostess stand for 10 minutes without anybody even acknowledging us. So we decided to sit at a hightop in the bar area. At this point my wife was suggesting we go somewhere else, and I said let’s ride it out and see where this goes. Finally we placed our drink orders, only to watch our drinks sit at the bar for about 10 minutes before our server even noticed them. At this point we were definitely second-guessing our decision to stay. (against our gut feeling) “mama said always go with your gut” We placed our food order, two appetizers and two entrées. The tater tot‘s and duck dumplings were amazing. But unbeknownst to us, turmoil was brewing in the kitchen and the sushi chefs apparently got in an argument and went on strike or something. So we never got our entrées. Then to top it off we come to find out they were pouring a less expensive whiskey then what we ordered and still charged for the other one. At this point we were pretty fed up and decided to go have dinner...

Great Restaurant - Terrible Seating!

My wife and I went to Nitrogen last night for the first time. We were drawn by the menu. We showed up, and the hostess was fantastic. Friendly and seated us immediately. The only seats were high-tops in the bar area. The backless stool we sat on was about 8 inches across. This was an improvement from the metal seats at the bar and in the rest of the restaurant. The menu was great. Service was excellent. The appetizers my wife and I ate were incredible. We had some sushi (excellent, with a nice use of Mango), we had the planko asparagus that was really good and creative. We were going to eat dinner following these appetizers, but by then, our backs were sore, and our butts hurt. I noticed by looking at the rest of the restaurant that half of the people were standing next to their metal chairs.

The really sad part is that we loved the food and the atmosphere. We will not be going back until they realize that comfortable chairs are good - and keep people there eating and drinking. As it is, the seating is so uncomfortable that we will not be going back until the chairs...

Thought I would visit the new sushi place in town. I had heard the executive chef on a food show back in March I think. We have sushi at minimum once a week, and travel as far south as Boca Raton from Jupiter.

From the moment we entered I realized this was not your average sushi joint. They did a great job on the interior build out, not to mention having a full bar. I found the service to be professional and well trained, which is a hell of a task considering they had just opened two weeks prior.

Most importantly the food was out of sight, 100% fantastic and on the mark. Limited menu, but at the end of the day each item was prepared to perfection. Much thought and creativity went into each and every dish. Its rare that I would give five stars to this type of establishment, but they earned each and every one them. I wish them much luck, and look forward to our next visit. Based on what we experienced last night luck will have nothing to do with it. They will be very successful. Welcome to Jupiter guys, you make a great addition to our current restaurant...
