Our experience started off rocky as soon as we made it to the host station. There were 5 people sitting there where no one really greeted us. We told our party size to the group of them. Two of them began to bicker about who should take us. A third person, clearly exasperated with the other hosts, takes us to a table.
The table was great with a spectacular view. We really thought we found a gem of a restaurant. Our server was quick and attentive. We ordered drinks where I received a mojito with black spotted mint. I ended up pulling out one leaf that was fully black. Less than ideal for $15+ per drink.
The Florida fritters which were okay. If I could have tasted them beforehand, there’s no way I would have ordered them. We powered through those driven only by determination.
Our entrees of the tiki burger and Cuban sandwich arrived quickly enough. First impressions were, why are they giving us strict rations of toppings? The only reason I took a picture of the burger was because of how pitiful it looked. Once again, for the price of the entree, how is this possibly reasonable? I wish I could say the entrees tasted better than they looked but far from it. The burger was flavorless other than the taste of the grill it was cooked on. The small splatter of sauce and pathetic amount of toppings did nothing to make this experience bearable. The Cuban sandwich wasn’t better. A mess of cheese and meat which didn’t taste like much of anything. The food was so bad my partner and I didn’t make it through a third of our meal despite starving from a full day at the beach.
Overall, great spot for a drink and to take a picture near the water. I wouldn’t order any food here. You’re paying for the view...
Read moreMy partner and I were driving through town and looking for a spot to grab dinner. We found this place on Google, and the photos looked good, so we decided to stop in for our first visit. I really wish I could leave a better review.
Let me start with the positive, because there was one: the calamari rings. They were actually pretty good. The only weird thing was that they brought them out at the exact same time as our main courses. We ordered an appetizer specifically to have something to snack on while we waited, so that was a bit of a strange start.
For my main, I decided to go all out and ordered the catch of the day. That was a mistake. This thing was forty-six dollars.
What I got was a piece of lukewarm fish that had absolutely no flavor. It seriously needed salt, at the very least. The worst part was the icy-cold chopped tomato and onion salad they dumped on top of it. Putting a forkful of lukewarm, bland fish and cold tomato in your mouth was a genuinely gross experience. The whole thing just didn't work.
The sides were a real mix. The mac and cheese was bland and not good at all. On the other hand, the garlic mashed potatoes were pretty tasty. My side of potato chips were stale and tasted like old oil.
My partner ordered the mahi mahi sandwich. It was "okay." You could probably get a better one from the Whole Foods hot bar.
We still left a 22% tip because our server was nice, and we know the kitchen's mistakes aren't his fault. But the food, especially my $46 entree, was just not good. It's a shame because the calamari showed they can do better. We won't be stopping by...
Read moreWOW, I bumped into a wonderful Restaurant folks. I don't go to the east side of Jupiter to often. I think I have a new place to visit from Port St. Lucie. This has got to be MARKED down on your list of favorites to visit. I looked them up as far as reviews go and for a place that has 6700+ reviews and holds a 4.5. That says something to me. GO THERE! So, I did. HOLY COW Place was moderately busy and the service and greeting you get from Audrey and Amanda leave you with a welcoming feeling and my anticipation grew quickly to sample the cuisine here. To start things off when you enter the establishment you are presented with a beautiful and well manicured entrance way that goes over an arched bridge and it continues into the interior of this location. I'm going to let my videos show you the rest of the place. It is a Botanical garden in this open platform. Anyways, My server was Yury and I ordered my standard so that I can compare equally between my other reviews. I ordered a New York Strip Medium. It was done to perfection see Pics and it came quickly too. The Broccoli was perfectly cooks and just so crispy yet not mushy. The flavor of the meat was perfect as well not masked in seasoning. My COMPLEMENTS TO THE CHEF AND HIS/HER TEAM in the kitchen. This venue here boasts Entertainment usually according to there website so I would book your reservations and do NOTE. The wait times can be long here and I can defiantly see why. So, bring your patience with you. BUT I will tell you it is worth the wait. 10 OUT of 5 STARS here!!!! AWESOME JOB GAUANBANAS...
