My husband took me here last night for my birthday dinner. The atmosphere and location are absolutely stunning, which is the only reason I’m giving this place 2 stars. Unfortunately, everything else about the experience was incredibly disappointing.
From the moment we walked in, the hostess was rude and made me feel completely unwelcome. We were told the wait for an outside table was an hour, so we ordered drinks at the bar and walked along the dock—which ended up being the highlight of the evening. The setting is truly beautiful, and that’s the only thing this restaurant has going for it.
When we were finally seated, our waitress was just as unpleasant. We tried to be friendly and lighthearted with her, but she seemed miserable and uninterested in answering our questions. My husband asked about the Alaskan crab legs, which were listed as “market price” on the menu. She never told us the price, and we weren’t given the chance to ask before she rushed off.
We ordered the chips and dip, crab cakes, and the crab legs. Everything was mediocre at best. The crab legs, in particular, were undercooked and had a strange texture. To make matters worse, our waitress took our plates before we were even finished and didn’t offer us a box to take anything home.
When the bill arrived, we were shocked—almost $300, with the crab legs alone costing $130. For food that was subpar and service that was downright rude, this place is extremely overpriced.
This restaurant has so much potential thanks to its location, but it desperately needs a complete overhaul in terms of staff training, food quality, and pricing. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a good dining experience. If you want a nice view and a peaceful stroll, the dock is lovely—but that’s about all...
Read moreI had very high hopes after seeing many great reviews. Unfortunately this restaurant was not what it lived up to be. Lobster was amazing and cooked perfectly. The steak on the other hand was the worst steak I’ve ever had. I asked for medium and it was a good ways past well done. My buddy asked for medium and his was also well done. Personally I think if you’re spending $70 for steak then it should be a good steak. I could have asked to have it remade but our server did not come back until after we were done eating. Also based on principle a near 5 star restaurant should be able to cook a steak at least close to what a customer wants and it really should be a perfected craft at this point. I will say the manager took my old fashioned off my tab and offered free desert for the experience. Either way I was extremely unhappy with this meal and would prefer a steak that tasted professionally made rather than having a 9 year old make it. I can’t say a lot about service other than he was very slow but I am unsure of how many tables he had so I cannot hold that against him. I am pretty sure he had 2 and at most 3 tables with us included but I cannot say for sure. Overall the experience was horrible and I am very unhappy. While I appreciate the discount for my drink being removed I would rather pay $100 and have a good meal rather than an honestly terrible steak. If you go here I would highly recommend the lobster but definitely do not get the steak with it. As you can see in the perfect it looks amazing but again it was the absolute worst steak of my life and I have eaten at Texas Roadhouse which anyone who knows has some of the worst steak ever. Absolute waste of money and time go...
Read moreA large group of us decided to go to Jetty's for dinner on a friend's recommendation. From the beginning it was a horrible experience. It was an especially cold weekend during our visit to Jupiter (40 degree temps with winds blowing around 40 mph) however they insisted on keeping the patio area open for the 2 tables that wanted to sit outside. Fine, we completely understood however they also kept the door to outside fully open (a double wide door) and sat our table right next to the door. Everyone in our section of the restaurant (not just our table) was wearing coats and hats! When we asked if the door could be closed the manager (via our waitress) refused, when we asked if it could be closed slightly our waitress agreed however her co-workers insisted on shoving the door back open each time they walked through knowing that we had requested for it to be slightly closed. Finally, when we asked to speak to the manager (for a second time, the first time she never bothered to come over!) to move our table she came over - she was incredibly rude and unprofessional and walked away from my husband while he was mid-sentance. Needless to say all of us were very unimpressed with the staff at Jetty's.
When we finally got our food, it was gross. My husband's crab was overdone, my salmon tasted old and fishy and the sides were flavorless and doused in butter and salt to try and make up for the lack of taste.
Based on our HORRIBLE experience I will NEVER go back there or recommend it to ANYONE. I hope this review helps to prevent people from going to a rude restaurant with bad food that is...
