Fresh food. Nicely prepared and presented. Reasonable prices. Plenty of stuff for non-meat eaters, too. There may even be vegan stuff. (Oh, you'll eat animals again someday. You're just going through a phase.)
Arrived at 1:15 p.m., figuring I'd missed the lunch crowd. Nope. Stood in line at the counter for seven minutes, gave my order to the friendly, helpful staffer. Paid. Found a table. When I walked in I had the sense that I'd be lucky to eat in 25; the place was packed. Surprise, my meal arrived in another five. Apparently it is like this for much of the lunch period. Don't let the queue deter you.
Good sign: More locals than tourists, perhaps in part because it is off the main road through town. Maybe Kalispellians--or whatever they call themselves--know a good thing when they find it. Flatheaders? Naw, they wouldn't call themselves that, would they?
Sole complaint: The soup arrived warmish rather than hot. I should have sent it back, but it was good enough even at the less than ideal temperature to polish off a large bowl of it.
Would go again, or I should say, will go again. Check it out. I doubt that you'll be...
Read moreI went to this restaurant a few days ago with my family of 4. All of us thought it was okay, but not great or even good. My wrap was fine as was the side salad, but it was quite pricy. I think it would have been dry without my order of a side of sauce, which I paid for. A few of us ordered the two kinds of soup available. They were disappointing and cost $2 extra per cup. The chicken tortilla didn’t have much going on or any strong flavors, and it was weird that there was no form of tortilla present. The broccoli cheddar was more of a broccoli water soup with no cheddar flavor to be found. My daughter’s panini was quite small. All in all, I would not return or recommend it here. It seems like it’s trying to go for a pricy, healthy, bistro lunch, but it just doesn’t meet the mark. For me, to charge $18 for a wrap, your flavors have to be either really good or unique and this was neither. I will say besides them forgetting my drink, which happens, there was no issue with the service. Everyone seemed to be working well together, and they...
Read moreBonelli's is literally the only place to eat in downtown Kalispell that has high quality REAL food. Well them and Hops. They offer tons of super yummy desserts, a lot of them are gluten free. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. Their Italian Cuban is AWESOME! Black forest ham and Cuban pulled pork. The only place in Kalispell that you can go and get a salad that isn't filled with wilted rotten green. Their salads are delicious and super fresh. The salad dressings are all tasty. My only complaint, and it's a small one, is that sometimes if I go in just for a pastry and coffee it takes a while to get it done but that is because they are primarily a restaurant and aren't really set up for grab and go coffee. Also no Sunday hours. It would be nice to have a few local places open on Sunday morning for tasty food and coffee but I understand that business is so slow on Sundays all over Kalispell. I highly recommend this place to all locals and especially everyone that is...
