Since Ranger Joes moved to the valley this has been my go to for pizza. In my opinion it's the best pizza in town, my family and I have tried just about every single item on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. We always get takeout and make sure to get there before the pizza comes out of the oven, the staff always gives you a timeframe for pickup and everytime I've had to wait just a few minutes while they pull it out of the oven and pack it up which means I have had a fresh pizza every, single, time. I can't count how many times before Joe came to town that I'd get a 20 minute pickup time from pizza hut, or dominoes and be there in 20 minutes on the dot and the pizza had already been done and sitting for 10 minutes by the look of the pizza. You can tell the quality and freshness of the ingredients on the first bite, the mushrooms, peppers and other veggies are always flavorful and cooked to perfection. The decision between the NY style and the sicillian is impossible to make so when feeding the whole family we always get both. There's no doubt the slogan is true...Joe knows his dough...the perfect base for every pizza, followed next by the sauce, not many places can sell a pizza that is literally just dough and sauce, but at Ranger Joes this is still one of the purest items on the menu. I recently went on the carnivore diet and once a month I get a cheat meal, there hasn't been another place in town I'd rather have over a NY style from Ranger Joes, so once a month on the calendar it goes. The staff is great, the place is clean, Joe is usually around and it's obvious they take pride and love what they do, it's just a great family owned business that will always have my support. Thanks...
Read moreIn 3 + years I have never had a problem with the pizza or a calzone, always had a great experience with the food a today wasn’t any different. However I was a bit disgusted by the lack of cleanliness on the inside bar area where I planned to eat my lunch, it was filthy and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned all day so I just took my food home and ate it cold. I was also a little annoyed by the sandy blond long haired gentleman working the register. He was mia when I got there and the fellas making the pizzas had to stop what they were doing after a few minutes to take my order. All of a sudden the counter gentleman appeared with his phone in his hand, not sure from where but outside of the parlor. He shuffled around the back a bit then a few minutes later took the trash out and again appeared back with his phone in his hands, stood in the foyer texting a then came back in. Maybe it’s normal and I’m just different but when I served during my school years I was taught that if I have time to lean/text I have time to clean 🧽 🧼 so again the food was good as always but I was disappointed that I didn’t have a clean place to eat and I didn’t feel like setting in the sun to eat hot food.
Side note, 2 or 3 people came in while I was waiting for my order, 15 minutes, who wanted slices, as I went in for as well, that they couldn’t get, so they left disappointed to eat elsewhere. Not my business but it might be a good idea to serve slices on a Saturday. Could’ve sold a minimum of 4 in just the 15 minutes...
Read moreThey seem to hardly ever be open!? I thought we were passed the times of businesses being short handed and struggling to find good help! But then again, maybe not.. My experience went like this: Excited, it’s now finally Tuesday and not even passed 8:00 pm. The website says they close at 9, the hours of operation on the door says they close at 9, and after trying to support their establishment Monday evening and finding out that they are not open Mondays, tonight’s the night! I called twice, no answer. Seeing that they are “open” until 9:00pm, and probably busy, I decided to just head that way and order in person, before it got any later or too close to closing time. It’s 8:01 as I pull up, but the “Open” sign is off. That’s weird I thought to myself, maybe they just forgot to turn it on today. I decide to go in anyway. The door is unlocked and I’m welcomed by a nice young man, “Good evening, sir, but we actually closed at 8:00.” Hangry, and slightly annoyed, I respond, “really!? It says everywhere that you close at 9:00.” “Sorry about that”, doesn’t exactly fill the void and hankering I had for a Flathead deep dish pizza… Maybe I’ll end up trying again. Maybe not. 🤷🏼♂️ Why is it so incredibly difficult to find a decent meal in this town after 8:00-9:00 pm....
