This was such a fun stop for my husband, two young kids and I until one of the kids went into one structure that had a wasp nest and we were all attacked by wasps and despite running away, running into the gift shop, running out of the museum, running to and eventually inside our Airbnb - we continued to not only be chased but stung by said wasps. Every single one of us was stung multiple times, I found a dead one in my hair outside our Airbnb that I had managed to smack and apparently kill when it dive-bombed my head in the parking lot. This was before we got inside the Airbnb and discovered two more wasps hiding inside my 5 year old’s shorts which proceeded to divebomb and attack us inside.
Now I’m docking a star because the establishment clearly didn’t manage the wasps in spaces that were clearly where people/kids could and would go. The second star I’m docking is because during the time at the museum while all four members of my family were frantically screaming and running around in panic - both outside and inside the gift shop - not only did NO ONE try to help or even check on what was the matter, but not a single person even looked anything but bored. It was wild. No reaction on a single face. So either their staff is really tired and couldn’t care less OR it happens often enough they’re not surprised? Either way it was overall a traumatic experience.
But pretty ok before all that so, 3 stars for the before wasp...
Read moreMy family decided to take a trip down to kanab for the weekend. We had heard many things about little Hollywood and were beyond excited to go. They advertised an old fashioned portrait picture, and my family was VERY excited to have this taken. However, there was nothing fun or exciting about this place. It was beyond dirty and VERY VERY disoragnized. The worst part about the whole experience was the portrait. Because they apparently didn't usually accommodate for small groups, my family had to call ahead in order to get the picture. When we showed up for the designated time. Not one of the employees could tell us what to do. Not even the photographer himself. He was also dressed VERY poorly for a photographer. He didn't know where the costumes were for the pictures, and proceeded to lead us to a room where the costumes were FILTHY!!! They were all covered in dirt, and looked like they hadn't even been fixed in years. After the picture, we were told it would be developed in 30 minutes. Then a seperate employee that was with the photographer, told us it would be 10 minutes. 10 minutes later, still not done. We then left and came back an hour later, and were told that the person that could develope the pictures, had just started them. Me and my family finally demanded a refund. Which was paid in full. But I will NEVER EVER...
