First off, the beer tasted like PUKE… FIRST AND LAST $6.50 you’ll get from me, ever. The website states dogs are allowed. My high school class booked and PAID for a space for our 10 year reunion. Apparently the reserved party area is also the “active brewing area”… apparently dogs are not allowed in the active brewing area because it’s “unsafe” and the only fore-warning you get is a sign at the end of the bar which is on the opposite side of the room from where our “reserved party” sign is. Well guess what, if it’s unsafe for my dog, it’s unsafe for me. Apparently it’s also “unsafe” for the beer, which is completely contained….. which is also in the same room as the rest of the bar, which also has giant fans spinning, circulating the air throughout the whole establishment with all entry/exit doors wide open. I’d LOVE to be able to understand this concept of how a dog being just beyond an invisible line keeps the beer safe and the dog safe… I was first told when I asked the reason, “because of chemicals on the floor”…. Well I feel like that should be made known to THE HUMANS that are standing on that very same floor. With that being said, I feel like we are all subject to wreckless endangerment while in the “designated party area/ active brewing area” due to the newly found knowledge of dangerous chemicals in the immediate area which is willingly LEASED OUT FOR LARGE GROUPS…. Sounds like this bar needs to be investigated by the department of health and human services. Imagine dropping something like a phone on the floor and then picking it up and later using it and getting burns on your face! Also I’d hate to walk in my house, take my shoes off, and then get chemical burns on my hands or on my feet from stepping in the same place barefoot as I did with my shoes. Ohh and if my dog’s feet are chemically burned…. Sounds like the wrong cleaning practices are used… ohh and then the final answer from a different individual upon asking the reasoning, was a yes, when I volunteered the question “is it due to health code?”….. shouldn’t that be coming from the employees as the reason right off the bat? If it’s against health code, how is it not against health code just across the imaginary line? One last thing…. What if service dog? Service dogs are allowed to be anywhere their...
Read moreShort version: great brews, great location, great people, an outstanding place and eventually a must go first when the Cannon Ballers start their season. The wife and I stopped here for the first time on May 1. We had seen the place on a number of occasions after either dropping someone off or picking up at the train station. First piece of advice, ignore the beer list on their website. They have an excellent rotation of beers, from stouts to lagers and of course, a couple of IPAs. They had 10 or 12 beers on tap that day. Started with a flight consisting of the Oh Dark Thirty stout, Blue Falcon Belgian tripel, 1848 Mexican lager and the Blue Line blonde coffee stout. All were great pours but the Oh Dark Thirty was just sooooo smooth. The Blue Falcon (and every I wanted to follow up with Dog Wonder awaaaay!) had crispness to it that was very refreshing and the Blue Line blonde coffee stout just had an excellent amount of flavor to it without being too busy. Loved the military theme throughout the place and the related beer names. Service was incredible and even on a busy Saturday, the servers took the time to interact with the customers. Yu can order food from either Sabor Latin Grill (next door) or Chophouse 101 (down the block). They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and a cornhole pit that was the center of attention. Looking at the calendar, they also have plenty of live music and trivia nights. I am sure that this place will be packed on the nights that the Cannon Ballers have home games, if not, that will be a shame. No matter, it is place you have to stop in for a beer or two or three any time you find yourself...
Read moreSaturday, February 8th, 2025, my husband and I went to the Bingo Madness Night they hosted. I found this awesome brewery on social media. When I saw it was owned by military veterans, I definitely wanted to go, as I love to support anything related to our amazing military members.
I spoke to Hannah to ensure they had space for us for the event, and the manager, Hannah, confirmed it.
We arrived and found our seats with our names on the table.
The establishment was so nice and inviting inside. I love that they are their own brewing company as well. We ordered some drinks to start and proceeded to the kiosk for our food. We sat down at our table and were enjoying the fun-filled evening. The MC was so fun and engaging with all the patrons. Bingo was a blast. While we played, we waited for our food, and it did come. But I definitely noticed, since it was a food truck, that some things could be better. My cheesesteak was small, even though it was pretty good. The mac and cheese seemed reheated. My husband's chicken sandwich could have been better with condiments or sauces.
I truly enjoyed the night and, at the end, was able to speak to Hannah, who suggested I try a beer she loves. When I tasted it, I truly enjoyed it because it didn't have that beer taste I dislike.
This place is inviting, pet-friendly, and truly a gem.
Another thing we loved is the pay-it-forward drink; you can pay for a beer for any military branch, and if a service member or veteran comes in, they can have it free. I will always have respect for our amazing military members, as they are the ones who took a chance to do something great to protect...
