Swanee Theatre — Local services in Kannapolis

I went to the Taylor Swift night and it was really disappointing. Pretty much every Taylor song was a shortened remix, while Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, and more were played (for some reason?! Why are other artists being played at a Taylor Swift night?) with their whole songs. The lack of anything playing on the big screen behind the DJ (maybe just have some of Taylor’s music videos playing in a loop?) and the strange lighting also detracted from the night.

The staff were all very nice, and the location itself was good, but otherwise it was just not great, especially compared to the Taylor Swift nights I’ve been to in Charlotte. Like literally just play her full songs, have something on the screen, sell some drinks, and let us dance and sing. That’s all that’s needed for a great night. We left after only about 45 minutes, and honestly, I wish I’d asked for a refund.

Edit: I’ve upped my stars to 3, because it wasn’t the venue that was bad, it was just not a badly done night. I’ll come to another future event and keep an open mind that it might have just been that one night that...

Just coordinated a wedding at the historic Swanee Theater for 120 guests and can't say enough about this venue. It had everything needed to make the wedding amazing - guest tables with chairs and linen, large stage and dance floor, high tech acoustic system, amazing smart lighting system, bar areas, bride and groom rooms, catering kitchen, and so much more.

Ken, the manager of the venue, went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met. He made sure the room was beautifully set up for the guests, DJ, and caterer and he organized all our requirements for the bar service. He even put the bride and groom's names on the theater's marquee which was beautifully lit up at night.

But most of all, the bride and groom were so happy with everything about this venue on their special day. Thank you Ken for helping to make this wedding an event...

What a terrific theater. Was invited to see the Davisson Brothers here. I've been to a lot of theater/club shows in my day. This place is really nice and in an absolutely fantastic locale with bars, restaurants, breweries and the local baseball stadium. The theater is clean and plenty of bar areas. They have tables and even an enclosed VIP section up where the projection room used to be????. Acoustics were really good and someone spent a lot of money for some really nice speakers and sound system. I wish I lived closer to this theater and this area. Kannapolis.....who knew? I...
