We just ordered chicken sandwiches and fries. The payment was a bit wierd. They took a partial payment and then we had to pay the rest with a second charge on the same card. The sandwiches were rung up for the wrong ones. Which we would have paid the difference, but they just made the ones we ordered. It was a bit confusing, but that is fine because they got what we ordered for us.
We got great sandwiches but cold fries. We were asked to pull up and wait for our grilled chicken sandwich. That was fine also as it came hot and awesome for my 2 year old son who LOVES them. But we asked for new fries since they tasted cold and old. They brought out sandwhiches instead of new fries!! That was terrible for the cook, manager, and other customers waiting for their food! (And us as we are out fries, my favorite part of the meal!)
My complaint here is: They were rushing and crisp. So, the first girl that brought our grilled chicken rushed off without looking in the bag and before we finished talking. Then the man who brought the sandwiches out (which we thought they were our new hot fries) rolled his eyes and rushed off while we were thanking him and opening the bag. Needless to say we were surprised at sandwiches not fries. We called to him but he had practically ran back inside and the door was locked.
I would have went back through the drive through line again or tried banging on the door more, but they were so rushed and brisk, we already had them remake an order (even though we did not even ask for it!), and we wanted to get dinner home for the family. Plus I am not sure they would have taken time to LISTEN to what we had to say and may have got even more irritated. I do not like upsetting people! 😒
We just feel terrible that they remade all the sandwiches when all we wanted were HOT FRIES!!
Thankyou Wendy's team for your hard work, especially through covid. Perhaps you have had a lot of difficult customers. My advice, for what it is worth, is to please take the extra 30 seconds to listen to, even clarify, what your customer has to say. Even when you are busy. It goes a long way.
And all you impatient rude people, calm down and speak graciously even when you have a complaint!! Maybe it will lend to better communication and service for us all.
Here's to hot fries in...
Read moreOn Sunday May 21, 2023 after church my family and I went to the Wendy’s at 590 Kannapolis Pkwy, Kannapolis, NC 28027. When we arrived, my daughter needed to use the restroom. At this Wendys location there is a sink in the restroom and outside the restroom. When my daughter tried to wash her hands she found that there was not soap at either sink. As my daughter walked away from the restroom an employee ran into the restroom with food prep gloves on. I thought it was odd that the employee took gloves from the food prep area into the bathroom. So, I kept an eye out for the employee to exit the restroom. A short time later I saw the employee exit with one of the gloves still on, rubbing a dry paper towel in his hands and returned to work in the food prep area. At this point I approached the manager and asked to speak with her privately. She told me to just say it here in front of everyone. I explained that I didn’t want others to hear and embarrass the employee. She insisted that I do it here so I told her that I saw the employee not wash his hands. She ran to the back to inform the employee. The employee approached me told me that he did not remove that glove because he had an injury on his hand. I told him even if that is the case he needed to change the glove. At this point he implied that he was going to do something to me and the manager told him to go to the back. Once the employee was in the back he stared at me making hand motions. The manager followed the employee to the back. While I waited for the manager to return I talked to the other employees that were hard at work. They told me that Management was bad and wanted to make sure they didn’t do anything. I let them know they had done nothing wrong and asked them to please go get the manager. After a minute another employee told me that the manager was not going to return and they called the cops on me. Once the cops arrived they walk to the back to have the manager give a refund so my family and I could leave. On Monday I contacted the health department and Wendy’s Corporate and told them this. I was told that the health inspector and that the district manager of that Wendy’s would contact me. So far I have only received a call from the...
Read moreWendy's in Concord on Glen Afton Blvd and Kannapolis Parkway. It was 7pm-ish on Saturday night. The restaurant is "drive-thru only" for whatever reason (this isn't a waitstaff shortage excuse). When we got there & realized this, we got into the car line and if I counted correctly we were 12th in line. I don't mind sitting in traffic, but it took almost an hour to get to order and that's where things go from okay to what the heck. I have a written order and I speak very slowly and concise. The order-taker started breaking down everything I just said as if a kindergarten student was taking the order. I was patient as we were picking up food for a friend who had just had a baby the night before. So after reading off the list and the order taker completely messing up the orders (editing & re-editing was involved) she says pull up for the total. So.. for a Double Cheeseburger with a fry & a large Coke, an Italian Mozzarella Chicken sandwich with a fry & a large sweet tea, an order of Chicken-strips with a fry and a large Diet Coke, & three regular chocolate frosty's the order is nearly $35. There wasn't a question about money, as this was a mission of mercy for a hungry woman. But the cashier, order taker, and order filler were all loaded up for someone else's order. So my friend that was paying went through the whole order quickly with the team & we got some food in two bags and two drink trays. My other friend fell asleep in the back seat during the whole event. There was food delivered to the family with the day old baby & it was consumed which was the main goal but the time spent was not a win, or even a draw and there where 10 cars behind us when I left the drive-thru (I had time to count, six cars, two trucks,...
