I have been waiting to eat at this place for a year maybe. Imagine the major DISAPPOINTMENT. The night before visiting Nguyen Pho I got there when they were closed. So I made time to visit the next day bc I could not wait much longer. I parked my car and walked in to ask them if they had WiFi. I stood there for 3 long mins before seeing gentlemen sitting down dazing off into space. I walked over to him to make sure they had Wifi. He said some gibberish, and I asked him again and he said yes. No smile, no conversation, nothing. He reacted as if I was annoying him. So I made nothing of it, walked out to get my belongings to do my homework. Walked out and back in less than 5 mins.
When I walked back in...still no "Hi!" "How are you" Nothing. Just "sit your self" from the waiter, and left. No smile. No "welcome!" nothing. I picked a seat and sat there for a few more minutes before she came back with some water. I reviewed the menu, asked a few questions about what "Pho" actually is, and ended up ordering Shrimp/Chicken fried rice. Still no conversation. I. SHOULD. HAVE. ORDERED. TAKE OUT. I would have gotten more shrimp. They gave me three little bitty shrimps. THREE. The fried rice was good. --that's it. good. So disappointed I didn't order something else. So I ordered that, and a glass of wine. Right after I ordered, I went to the bathroom and as soon as I sat back down, my food was on the table, and the glass of wine waiting. --NICE. However, the waiter dropped off my food and left. I had to ask fifty million times what the WiFi password was. My waiter didn't know. And she told me sorry, and that I had to wait for "the guy" to come back to the to give me the WiFi password. TF!? I specifically came to the restaurant needing to use the WiFi while I ate and not I have to wait for the password. I tried not to make it a big deal. The waiter called "the guy" got the password for me after she could tell I was getting annoyed.
After getting the password....I never heard or saw "the guy" or my waiter for 40mins. My empty plate sat on the table for thirty mins on the other said of the table, and my glass sat empty for 15mins. Maybe she thought I didn't need to be interrupted. But where I was sitting, they both had to walk passed me to greet and help everyone else. So she should have checked on me. Atlease once. After 20 or so mins listening to them greet everyone else, I noticed they greeted them, walked them to their seats, and after giving them their water asked them if there was something else they wanted to order. I never got that service. Was never treated with respect. After the I was passed for the last time. I made eye contact with "the guy" and asked for my tix. He got my tix and rudely made sure I was made aware that I pay elsewhere. ---which would have been nice to have been told that, as I made it clear I have never been there before. As soon as I started packing my stuff, here she comes collecting my dirty dishes. I will never visit this place again! Which is a shame since I had been waiting patiently to visit Nguyen Pho. I am a concierge in a hotel just a mile from this restaurant. --I mention that because, on an average, I see 50-100 people a day. I am so disappointed, and pissed I...
Read moreThis pho restaurant was terrible in terms of food service and customer service. Let me start by this; we are not unreasonable people and fully expected long wait times and slow service due to the holiday. 99 percent of my reviews are positive.
Our first positive impression of the establishment was quickly diminished by the unprofessional staff and the experience they gave our party. They seated the next available party ahead of us, even though we had arrived before them. It was obvious that they did this because we were not of Vietname and unorganized se descent and the other party was. We politely asked the waitress about it, but she ignored us. Instead of leaving or barging out like the other party did, we decided to stay because we were already there.
It took them 30 mins to take our order, but that was only after we asked them. The other 2 parties who sat after us were already waiting for their food. We walked in this restaurant 12pm and didn’t get our food until 130. Our food came out in intervals. We just left because 2 hours for bowl of noodle is crazy.
The manager just roamed around looking lost as can be. I’m not sure why there’s so many great reviews but as food connoisseur, this place is overrated. I’ve received better services and better food at other surrounding pho establishments
Pho Lan is much better in terms of atmosphere, food and services. You're paying for brand and location here and I'm not impressed. Certainly will not come back to this...
Read moreFirst off, horrible place. The Vietnamese group that came after us was seated before us. Totally ignored us and didn’t even come to ask who came first they just automatically ignored us and sat that group first.
20-25 mins later they came back and asked us how many people were in our group and finally sat us down. After sitting down and waiting for someone to take our order 35 mins had already passed and this was because we grabbed a young girl to take our order. Wouldn’t known how long it would’ve took if we didn’t grab her attention. Once she took our order it took forever to get our food and the food didn’t even come in order… some came to us and then some other table got some of theirs and it was just horrible… messed up on our order saying that we order sea food pho when we clearly didn’t. we were missing a handful of entrées. Such an unorganized place and the waitress was very rude after we had told her what happened. she gave us an attitude and the owner never came to check on us and see what was going on.
We are usually very patient people and understanding, but we waiting 3.5 hrs for seating, and receiving some of our entrées and only for them to mess it up… not a great place at all. Will not be coming back. If i could rate this a NO STAR i would.
