I recently visited Head Case, a new organic and fully sustainable hair salon, spa and barbershop in the heart of the River Market, and I couldn’t be more impressed with my experience. It’s about time KC had a salon and spa like this! The space is modern, and has a clean aesthetic that creates a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for a spa day or a hair makeover. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted promptly and immediately taken into a thorough consultation. I shared my hair concerns, and my stylist, Dominique, took the time to listen carefully before recommending a personalized plan. As my color processed, I was given a tour of the space and discovered that Head Case offers a wide range of services, including nail care, pedicures, waxing, facials, men’s grooming services and even kids cuts. Plus, I saw the area where an exciting new head spa, launching soon, will be. (I’ll definitely be back for that!) Dominique did an absolutely amazing job with my hair. From color to toning, cutting layers to add volume to my thinning hair, and finishing with a flawless blowout, every detail was handled with care and precision. Not only do I work at Head Case Hair Studio and Spa KC as a Hairstylist I also get my hair done there. Tylor Garret has been doing my hair over a year now. He understands my hair’s challenges. I have very fine hair with deep warm tones. And I actually had to stop doing cool blonde because my hair would break no matter how good the stylist was. Yesterday I gave Tyler my inspiration photo and we collaborated on a plan and came up with adjustments . And let me tell you when I say Tyler SLAYED my hair HE SLAYED my hair I have my edgy look back at 50 my hair looks the best that it ever has and the integrity of my hair was not compromised nor was it damaged. And I have a very cool tone . We used Naturalique Lightener he did roots first then mid to ends all in foil . Did a 1 blue black with Violet infused and a peak a boo with violet toned with the 11 and added sparkle and shine and yesssssss yesssssss yesssss I’m in love with my hair again. I am thoroughly impressed with this salon to say the least!!! The vibe is top tier and the aesthetic is absolutely beautiful. They were all so nice and welcoming immediately upon walking in. I love that they use all clean products in their salon. This was my first experience having hair colored without chemicals. I was so impressed. There was zero Chemical smell and the results were phenomenal. Nicole was my stylist and she is amazing!!! She is extremely talented and her work definitely showed that. She really listened and made sure she understood what I envision for my cut and color. To say that she nailed it would be an understatement. I was also extremely impressed with the styling products they use. I wasn't sure if the results of the styling products would be as good as the ones I normally use. I was thoroughly impressed with how amazing they were. They smelled so good and were even better than the non-organic styling products I use at home.
