ETA #2: My friend was WITH me, and is within her right to leave her own review. Maybe an apology would better serve you in these cases, instead of your defensive, snide excuses. I left ONE review on Facebook, and this Patti friend of yours created chaos. I’m not the enemy here. I simply was sharing MY experience and was deleted and blocked on a variety of northland eatery pages, by Patti, for it. ETA: I totally got the wrong day of the week….it was a Sunday, not a Wednesday. That’s on me, and I apologize. But, NOTHING in this review was fabricated. And, yes, Patti St Vincent had me blocked on ALL the Facebook pages.) Review: Decided to try this pub a few weeks ago, as we had heard the food was delicious. The register was not working, and both the manager and bartender had no idea what the specials were for a Wednesday night. We asked for a menu to order food, and they said, with no explanation why, that the kitchen was closed (at 7 pm). There was something wrong with their taps and all of their beer was flat, so we had to get cans (and were charged a higher price than was shown on their Facebook page), and even though there were literally only a handful of people in the place, the service was poor. We were extremely disappointed and will, sadly, not be back. ETA: They’ve since blocked me from their Facebook page and had me blocked from the KC Northland Eateries Facebook page. Just because of this review. I think that speaks volumes about the type of people who own/work here. If you decide to venture in, I hope your experience was better than ours, but if it’s not, I guess you’d better keep it...
Read moreFirst time visiting. We walked in around 5:45 tonight. NOBODY was there! Kinda made us question if this place was any good. But, it was early. Giving it a chance. Our waitress was Bri, I believe, was nice and friendly. She took our orders and made conversation. I CANNOT say the same for what I believe to have learned was the owners son. ( he sits in the corner on a laptop) he came up to the bar going through the 6 different menus they give you! And my husband asked if they do live bands. He would barely look at us and spoke to us with his back to us about how they have only been open since January and haven’t done that. Then walked off. Our fried pickles come out and they are cold! I appreciated that they were in the form of a “fry” but the flavor was good. But when bri asked if they were good and I told her they were cold she brushed it off. Then our main food came.. I had wings and tots. I don’t know any place I have ever had wings that I could bite down on it to the bone without my mouth being on fire! Cold AF! Tots.. cold. My husband’s chicken and waffles came out 7-10 minutes later.. frozen chicken.. he couldn’t eat it. And the beer… 38* warm piss! And what’s up with the cages? Definitely...
Read moreI’ve actually had the worst experience at this place that I’ve ever had in Kansas City. Granted I’m not from here but lived here for 2 years now and work in many high volume spots so I frequent many places. I live in the area and was just looking for a good local spot. I come in with a couple of my girlfriends and was immediately shunned. Which as a bartender was so upsetting to me because I treat all of my customers the same, with great service and a smile. Well I’ll tell you there were about only 6 men at the bar and 2 tables in the entire restaurant. Amanda did not greet my party or even say hello for 10 minutes as she’s continuing to serve everyone else. She finally gets our drink order after making us feel unwelcome and we don’t receive not even 1 out of the 3 drinks we ordered for at least 20 minutes which at that point we said we don’t even want them. The owner was there tonight and also didn’t greet us or even offer a helping hand. God awful service and no wonder there were only 10 customers. I will not be back. Good luck keeping this place in business even 3 out of the 6 men left after they saw us getting awful service and invited us to a more...
