UPDATE: Cautious not to get our hope up to high… we gave them another shot! And couldn’t be happier to say that we had an entirely different experience! So so happy to see it. It took 10min to get our meal(even when busy), the owner was friendly, and it was so pleasant!! We had such a great visit! So relieved and grateful to the changes made for the customers. It means so much. Thank you Seven Swans! So happy to call you our fav restaurant again and LOVING the shop as well. Highly recommend 🥲 🤩

I absolutely love this place, the aesthetic, the atmosphere, the crepes/food are all amazing. Honestly. The attention to detail and authenticity on these are great. BUT, big but, the service is very frustrating. I am a huge supporter of small businesses and am very forgiving and understanding that things can’t always run smoothly, however, I do have expectations about the establishment being dedicated and caring to the customer because in the transaction it is about both parties; the business and the customer appreciating each other. That is what is lacking here. I have been here at least 10+ times, have referred friends and family, have gone out of my way to support them especially in the pandemic... and it’s a one way street when it comes to just the simple acts of customer service. For instance - if you have a wait time of an hour expected, tell the person ordering BEFORE they order. Not directly after the payment goes through. Just the basics is all we as patrons ask. I wouldn’t mention this (or the getting orders wrong after 45mins of waiting, then more waiting, or totally forgetting us all together, or not being welcoming or polite, etc.) at all if it had been an occasional thing. Or even if you tried to make it up with a free coffee or something... but it is literally every single time. I wish them the best and appreciate their business and efforts elsewhere, but please please up the customer service game? Because personally, other than that lack you would be my favorite place to eat in all of KC. But I’m getting frustrated enough I am considering not coming back. And it...
Read moreWe woke up early on a Saturday morning and spontaneously decided to go to Seven Swans. My sweetie had been there prior, I had not.
This organic creperie is located in an historic building whose flaws and repairs over the years are embraced as is, (great colors on walls from years past!) as are the plates that serve the food. Mine arrived on a beautiful chipped dark blue floral plate - and it fit perfectly with the vibe. I loved it.❤️
Steve ordered a regular latte, I, a salted caramel latte, and a starter of rosemary shortbread. For those of you who immediately think “yuck!” when you think of salted rosemary shortbread, you could not be more off course. It was remarkable! Steve described it as a perfect balance of salt flake, subtle rosemary (almost floral) and a nice dense shortbread. YUM!!
Steve got the KC Classic (ham, cheese, spinach with schmear of coarse mustard and chives) - crepe itself was fresh, light but heavy enough to hold the gooodies. A real keeper!
I got the Chicken Pot Pie crepe and if you like pot pie, you MUST try this crepe! Perfectly sauced with a lovely chicken broth sauce, celery, carrots, and peas, and small bits of chicken - topped with real crust… heavenly!
There was a steady hum of happy people in this place, including the lovely people who work here. They were efficient, pleasant and welcoming! This is now on my list as a favorite breakfast place in Kansas...

Came with a friend on Halloween and we were told about a 45 minute wait, that they were really backed up. We said okay! My friend ordered the Halloween advertised one..they were sold out so she picked the pumpkin pie
I ordered the Vermonter (sausage, cheese, apples)
We waited 50 minutes when someone came up to me and said they were out of the Vermonter, HOW?! No apology, just what else do you want?! This also meant they had not even started mine. YIKES
The employee suggested the strawberry , bacon, cheese. I got it and it was fine I ate it all, but certainly is not what I wanted or what I paid for.
My problem was with the customer service. They still charged me for mine which was more expensive than they what they gave me. Still kept the whole tip on since you pay before. I am not one to speak up and demand the difference and tip back so I guess it’s my fault to an extent, but this is not a way to treat customers. I understand Covid and supply chain issues, but restaurant also need to respect customers and their hard earned money . Letting someone who has already paid know 50 minutes later you don’t have what they ordered is mine boggling to...
