Tired of soulless box-office slop and $20 popcorn? You should try Stray Cat!
Stray Cat Film Center is a cozy, hole-in-the-wall theater that screens a wide range of programming, from b-movies to art films, hidden gems, classics, documentaries, live soundtracked silent films -- and tickets are rarely above $10. Andrew's Video Void, a free and always-strange found-footage variety show, has become a monthly institution for my friend group. It's not big box-office slop, but human-made slop, low quality nonsense public access TV style, and I much prefer it to shiny garbage that's being pushed through the bigger theaters.

I've also seen plenty of odd ball films here with pals when we want an affordable hang. StrayCat goes beyond "cult classics" but helps enter you into the world of cinema as an art- in a silly goofy not stressful way.
