I cannot recommend this place at all given all the wonderful Mexican joints in KC. We came in with a table of 5 yesterday and they sat us next to the front door. We asked if we could sit in the room away from the front door because it was constantly open with people coming in and it was pretty cold. Prior to seating, the hostess said “I’m sorry but we’ve got two big parties coming in, this is the only space we have.” The two parties were two 8 tops. So they proceeded to sit table after table in the back room after we were seated. Frustrating, but not a deal breaker because I’ve been a server and a host before, I get it. The server brought our app and no plates to share. Didn’t come back to check on us for 10 minutes and by then, the app was finished and the greasy app was all over the table from dripping everywhere. The margaritas here are downright TERRIBLE. $8 for a house margarita that looks like Mountain Dew is a joke. One person at our table said “I can’t stop drinking it because it’s so bad that once I stop, I can taste it and that’s not what I want to do.” It’s straight trash. The food was okay. I got the Birria Quesadilla and it did not come with consome. Whatever, not a big deal I asked for some and it was absolutely flavorless The rest of our group was equally unimpressed by their meals. Save your money and pass on this joint.

Service was OK, but the server was so busy making drinks and taking care of customers that I had to chase her down to pay. She was the only one working the seating area and the bar. The margarita was weird and not satisfying. It had this different flavor, ginger? Tonic water? The food I had was awful. I was surprised of how bad the food was because I asked the server what to get between fajitas and Shrimp Chiles rellenos. She recommended the Rellenos! And they were the worst Chiles rellenos I have ever, ever tried. The chips and salsa were OK I guess, but I did not like the salsa much. It was sweet and not like a Mexican salsa. The shrimp in the Rellenos was hard and chewy, the cheese was so melted it was a no show. The tomato based sauce on top of the rellenos was weird looking and had a weird taste, with too much oregano and a grainy feel. I stuffed myself with chips and did not eat but a few bites, I did not even finish the margarita. I will not visit again.

First time there Saturday night, it was pretty quite. My boyfriend ordered the Chile verde and I ordered the Chile relleno. It looked like the one I had in Mexico back in 2017 and was really good. I did supplement with ground beef. We got a sangria to drink and it was really good. A little disappointed it didn’t came with fruits in the glass (that’s how I am used to drink it at home). The Chile verde was excellent too. We went back on a Wednesday because they have happy hour from 4pm to 8pm. My boyfriend was too quick though and ordered a pitcher of sangria so I didn’t have the chance to try the margarita (another excuse to go back!). I got the Chile verde this time and he got the Chile relleno. We were sitting outside in the back patio this time. It is a cute, private set up and it is really nice on sunny days. Next time we will try something else. Everything seems so good.

I don't normally rate something very low, but despite a number of positive visits, I had a horrible experience today.

First, I want to say that in the past, I have had good experiences and that food came out quickly and was high quality. The ceviche is something that I have enjoyed a few times.

Today, I went in around noon with two coworkers. It was busy, but no line at the door. We had our order taken, and despite ordering 3 Cokes, we thought our Coke tasted funny. After 45 minutes without getting our food, we ask a passing waitress to check on our order, as our waiter had stopped visiting our table after the first 5 minutes. 5 minutes later, our waiter came by and said he lost the order and didn't remember what we ordered. We repeated our order, and waited another 15 minutes. We find out when I went to the bar that there was no manager on duty. Further, we were told they were out of Coke, and that they had been filling our "Cokes" with Diet Coke without telling us. GOOD THING I DON'T HAVE AN ALLERGY TO ASPARTAME! After another 5 minutes, we were told that the owner was being called. We walked out, having eaten a couple baskets of chips, some Diet Coke we didn't order, and waiting 75 minutes for food. I might mention that no other tables seemed to be having issues getting food, as we watched a few tables come in and get food in about 10 minutes. At no point during our contact did we get offered a concession or anything for our wasted time. Having blown our whole lunch break, we had to get some fast food elsewhere.

It only takes one bad experience to lower one's opinion of a restaurant. I will go back one day, but for now I am very...

Pretty sure this is the least favorite Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. The person I was with and I sat down and right off ordered drinks and were offered menus. Which was a good start. We decided on what we wanted approximately one or two minutes after this and placed our menus down to indicate we were ready.

However, it started going bad when waiter literally stood in a corner near for at least a minimum of minutes while looking at and saw we were ready. They then disappeared for approximately at least another give minutes before he finally came to take our order. I ordered a chicken chimichanga and the person I was with ordered steak fajitas. The chimichanga was decent in size, but it was literally just tortilla and chicken.

Additionally, the beans and rice that came with the steak fajitas did not quite taste right at all. Furthermore, the fajitas were literally fifty percent lettuce, and the lettuce came as literal chunks that appeared to have been haphazardly and lazily cut.

The steak was also far too large to be bite size. The fajita overalls appeared to have been been thrown together with whatever random vegetables and fruits they had on hand and was no way at all worth the $15 or $16 that it cost (every entree is at least $13 or more).

The menu did not even list what drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) they offered. They had a t.v. on that was way too loud and no music at all. Never thought I would not like a Mexican restaurant, but I will not be returning nor do I recommend visiting this one. 2/5 stars.

This is so difficult to post.

This is probably the best Mexican food I have ever had in KC.

Friday Feb 2nd. We came here for lunch for our first time, we literally couldn't wait to eat there again, So we planned on eating dinner after our awards ceremony at the World of Wheels Car Show on Feb. 3rd.

I called and made reservation and was told 30 - 35mins and gave them my name.

We walk to the resteraunt and arrive exactly after 35mins, I walk in and get greeted by a very rude older Mexican lady.

I tell her my name and that called and made reservations, she very rudely tells me I did not, and that she can't help me, she didn't ask anybody else if a call came in, or anything, She didn't even look at any paper, notes or anything.

We couldn't believe how disrespectful and rude she was to all of us.

We left and went outside, I called the number I called, thinking, I must have called the wrong place, and the same lady answered that took my reservation, she said to would be 15-20mins.

We left and will not be returning, they lost customers that would have come weekly after finding our favorite food.

Won't be back as long as that lady works there....

She acted like she was the owner but was a completely unprofessional and had no sense of caring for her customers, I can't belive a place like this would act that way and want to lose business....
