Silver Spoon Cafe — Restaurant in Kansas City

I visited yesterday and ordered an egg and sausage breakfast sandwich on a toasted croissant. No cheese because of a dairy allergy. I came in this morning and ordered the same egg and a sausage sandwich on a toasted croissant x2. The Asian person who took my order repeated my order to me before collecting my payment. She confirmed I ordered my sausage and egg sandwich on a toasted croissant. I go to my job, open one of my wrapped breakfast sandwiches only to realize my order was wrong! I was served an egg, ham, and cheese sandwich. I have a dairy allergy! I called this place to put in my complaint about my wrong order, but no one answered. So I decided to visit on my lunch break in an effort to either get a refund or a substitute for a new order. The Asian person who works FOH was rude, defensive, and argumentative. She basically called me a liar! Your customer service is atrocious, but I expected her reaction! Her name starts with an M. The suck part is I was the only guest in their restaurant this morning. I used to eat breakfast here at least three days per week for the past year. The breakfast special (2egg, 2bacon, 2toast) with a medium drink; including tax, has been $6.02 consistently. About 2 months ago the original owner retired and the special price jumped to $6.12. Okay...no big deal. This morning I ordered the same special, and the grand total...? $7.80! That's a 30% increase, folks. I asked the cashier about the difference in price and she blamed it on "egg prices have gone up". I don't know where on earth they're getting their eggs from...maybe Brad Pitt is cooking them in the back...but I'm not spending $7.80 on a light breakfast served in a cheap foam container that I consume using cheap plastic silverware on a dirty table, while I drink from a cheap foam cup, after rounding the block three times to find a place to park.

Ive always enjoyed eating at the Siver Spoon. The people have always been nice and polite and ive never had a complaint about the food. Its been several months since ive eaten there, so i went this morning. I wasnt pleased at all. The people were still mice and friendly, but the food was the problem. I ordered the Southwestern Casserole and it was very difficult to eat. The potatoes that were in the dish had been cooked so long that they were dark and had no substance in them. I did show one of the workers and they asked if i wanted the order redone? Because i was headed to my next bus i didnt have the time. For reasons like this, its important that the food is prepared correctly and they arent just serving anything. I'm not sure if i will eat...
