Believe it, dattebayo! I had the most amazing time at the Kansas City Convention Center, believe it! The moment I stepped inside, I felt like I was in my own Hidden Leaf Village, surrounded by friendly faces and the buzz of excitement all around. I felt like a true ninja, ready to take on any challenge that came my way!
The venue was massive, just like my Rasengan! The halls were so spacious, with plenty of room for all the vendors and exhibits. I couldn't believe the variety of things I could explore there - from anime merchandise to ninja weaponry and even delicious ramen! It was a paradise for any ninja enthusiast!
The organization and layout were as precise as my Shadow Clone Jutsu! Everything was easy to find, and the signage was clear and helpful. The staff was incredibly kind and always willing to lend a hand, just like my dear friends Sakura and Sasuke. They made sure every attendee felt welcome and comfortable.
The main event hall was like the battlefield for the Chunin Exams! The stage setup was fantastic, and the sound system made every presentation feel like a powerful jutsu unleashed! The panels and workshops were informative and inspiring, making me feel like I was training under the legendary Jiraiya himself!
One thing that stood out to me was the attention to detail, just like mastering my Sage Mode. The convention center was clean and well-maintained, even with so many attendees bustling about. It showed how much care and respect they have for their guests, and I truly appreciated that.
The accessibility was impressive, like my Flying Thunder God Technique! There were ramps and elevators, ensuring that every ninja, young and old, could navigate the center without any issues.
Overall, the Kansas City Convention Center is a place every ninja dreams of visiting, believe it! It was an unforgettable experience, and I can't wait to return, ready to make new friends and experience more ninja adventures! Dattebayo! 5 stars, no...
Read moreThe KC Convention Center complex covers six or seven city blocks and has a really neat second floor, enclosed walkway setup with grand hallways extending the entire length and width of the complex. This would be great for the rain, snow, and 20 below degree temperatures of Kansas City, BUT, THEY WON'T LET EVENT PATRONS USE THIS INSIDE CIRCULATION SYSTEM.
Every year I attend the KC Auto Show. We are told by the event staff to park at the Kaufman Center parking garage. And the Convention Center complex has a convenient entrance to the covered walkway circulation hallway right across the street from the back of the Kaufman Center, at the corner of W 16th St.and Wyandotte St, next to the Grand Ballroom. And every year they close that entrance for use, because of an event at the Grand Ballroom. They post a security guard and refuse to allow anyone attending any other event at the Convention Center use that entrance. It's a common space that is for the use of all people attending events at the Convention Center. So, instead of using the weather protected, climate controlled circulation space, with nice level floors, we are forced to hike 3/4 of a mile outside, through the snow and rain, up and down a couple 30 foot tall hills, dodging two highway off ramps, up and down three two story tall staircases, to the far sided of the building, to get in. And we have to make this journey every time we need to take something to the car or retrieve something from the car. This is absolutely ridiculous. I have two family members who are not physically able to make this hike, and I am looking at the reality that in not too many years, I will no longer be able to attend the show for the...
Read moreI am very disappointed with the way Planet Con was run. There was no sense of direction at first check in. People cut in line and no one could hear the staff members most of the time. The signings for the celebrity I was really interested in started at 10:30 yet none of the staff members announced it leading us to stand in line and waste time. The staff should have announced this so those that wanted a signature could have gotten in sooner.
We spent almost 3 hours just to get past check in. The whole reason I came was to get an autograph from a celebrity but was turned away, told to go somewhere else. I had to scrape the funds just to see him at this convention only to waste my time sitting and playing on my phone on the floor.
My other biggest complaint was there was no sitting area for con-goers or a larger area for people who ate food could sit and eat. I saw people eating where they could (mostly on the floor). There wasn't alot of bathrooms open either or elevators for people to use especially with carts.
I would suggest for next year to use a megaphone for the staff and clear signs posed on the outside. One door used for early check-ins only and those that already had their bands use the other this wasy you wont have lines being cut into. Use dividers so no one cuts in line. Please announce when a celebrity is starting or getting ready for their signing and have a separate line for those that want to get a signature so convention goers can get through faster. Have information desks by the escalator in case people have questions not hidden behind or...
