Walked into a very busy sunrise, I was greeted by the host and they do have a bar If you want to sit by yourself.
The atmosphere is of a classic mexican with a large day of the dead murial on a dark blue wall that pops. Mexican music is played in the background. Its quite loud tho with little to no sound suprisession so be prepared to talk loudly. They also have a tv that plays different claśical mexican music then that of the music playing overhead so if your at the bar that might confuse you and be a little overwhelming when your catching both musical background in addition to the conversations.
I ordered a coffee and water and they were both promptly served. Their coffee was amazing a 10/10 warm with light notes of Mocha a hint of caramel they frenshly grind their beans before every pot which shows in the flavor.
I started with the biscuits and gravy, they have both a pork sausage gravy option and a mushroom gravy option the mushroom gravy is spicey so be prepared if you get that. It comes with 2 eggs and a side of meat. They do offer a turkey sausage if you can't eat pork. 2 eggs over easy.2 pancakes and a side of hashbrowns.
The pancakes came out first they were fluffy and had a hint of cinnomon they were powered in sugar. The syrup wss nothing to shout about 7/10.
The hashbrowns were cooked really well but weren't really seasoned and lacked flavor a 4/10.
Onto the mam course there were breakfast potatoes that came with the breakfast. They were cooked to perfection and seasoned just right much better then the hashbrowns a 9/10. Wow the difference is tendold. And if you havr a chance to order between the two order the breakfast potatoes.
The turkey sausage tasted much like regular sausage which I'm still not sure if I was served turkey sausage. A 7/10.
The eggs overeasy were cooked great and tasted amazing 9/10.
Now the part im sure your waiting for the biscuits n gravy. The bartender was not lying when he said spicey. But not to spicey this gravy slapped hard and I was thoroughly impressed..especially since they have an alternative gravy option for such a classic breakfast item. The mushrooms didn't overwhelm the flavor and the biscuits were flakey and full, baked Golden brown they really outdif themselves. 9.5/10.
The bartender offered me a coffee to go, again the service here was top notch.
Overall ill def be coming back to sunrise on the 39th. Next time I'll check out some of their classic...

Me and my sister went in there for breakfast around 9:30 AM.. The location is amazing/pretty open floor nice bar. The server was very helpful in answering the questions that we had about the menu and recommending what he thought was good..
I ordered the breakfast burrito in my sister ordered the salmon Benedict
We both work in the food industry so we understand Portions, Food quality, And just overall we don't go to restaurants looking to be those people..
But when I mean to tell you we were disappointed and not only with how the manager on duty handled the situation, By being completely avoided to wanting to resolve the situation after we clearly stated we were very upset about, and mainly How the Benedict meal was and the quality of the salmon. The manage She spent more time explaining the processing of in which they plated the salmon Benedict instead of hearing and seeing for herself that it was not unacceptable presentation of what they were selling..
The Benedict carm with 2 Muffin (very largs and untoasted )topped with a raw tomato, a piece of salmon, poached egg and holindase sauce..
The salmon was very stiff and dry and thin.. That was on the first Benedict the second Benedict was broken up into bits and pieces as you can see when she deconstructed it and removed the tomato and removed the egg this was what was under.
Overall we just wanted to bring it to the manager's attention hoping that they would rectify the situation. They took the plate and threw it away.. When I ask if they could discount the meal or even just remove it as we were very unsatisfied and honestly still hungry The manager declined and told us she threw it in the trash.. And still expected us to pay full price. Even had the sarcastic audacity to ask if she wanted her to go get the meal after stating she threw it away.
I took 3 bites out of my burrito and the beans that they used oversaturated the meal so it was a very soggy. And the tortilla was raw as well. So we did not even eat any of the entrees.
I wanted to share this experience because I believe it's unfortunate that there is a good opportunity for this restaurant to be successful but not if they handle their customers like this very disappointed.
Shout out to the waiter he was...
Read moreSo I’m a server! A darn phenomenal one! Really thorough and informative when it comes to explaining the menu and providing excellent services! In return I fault myself for expecting the same thing from other servers.
I ordered a Tequila Sunrise Mimosa, Potato Rancheros with peppers and scallions with a side of French toast (stated in the menu it was $7). The Waiter did not explain that there was a small and large order of French Toast. He said that there was 4 slices that came on the French toast. “Okay cool. I’ll take that!”
I get my ticket and notice the French toast was 9 and charged me for an order of fruity French toast which is NOT what I ordered so I asked them to explain the charges! This is where this review comes in… forget the $2 the fact that the server who didn’t serve me tried to argue my ticket and accuse me of ordering fruity cause he “thought he seen fruit on my darn plate!” 😂 I’m like no… that’s not what I ordered he rambles off and then go get the waiter who placed the order. He reprints the “same” ticket and comes back. So I explain the menu said it was $7. He argues that I had the large order! I’m like you never explained that there was a small and large order of the French toast! He decides to try to go back and forth and over talk me. I had to stop him and let him know “it’s not an argument you just never explained that”… I politely paid my ticket and shared with him that they should have more clarity especially on the menu.
I would have never ordered a large knowing I would I only eat half! I’m a small girl! I don’t eat much! I appreciate transparency and servers who listen! Obviously they didn’t have either. Not to mention the drop of tequila he poured in the cup when he noticed I was watching he dropped more! It pisses me off that we pay for food and service and get horrible quality and service! Not to mention the toast was thin and dry!
They started off aight but lost me on the attitude and not taking responsibility for their actions!
This’ll be my last time!
If visiting it’s your sole responsibility to be clear and ask tons of questions for clarification!
No negative vibes! I’m just here to tell...
