This is such a great concept. I wish there was one for small dogs or puppies. The drinks were surprisingly good. I love that all of that cats are full of personality, and have their own stories.
The owner knows each cat, and how they came to be. If there is any kind of disability with the cats, it's because they were rescued. The owner also told us how we could interact with the cats that had those limitations so that they would still be comfortable. It was great that she gave us tips for how to play with the blind cat so that s/he wasn't left out.
She also told us what some of them don't like. As a warning, you may want to tuck in any scarves, laces, or anything else that resembles string because they will for sure go into [friendly] attack mode.
I can't believe someone gave them one star with no explanation. At least offer feedback so they can work on it. We were going to tell them that they needed lint rollers, but as we were looking through the pictures we saw that we passed right by them. It would be kind of cool if she told guest as they left that they can use the rollers near the door.
More food or snack options would also be great. Also, perhaps more cold beverages (not soda). I liked all the cat games, but I also think more "regular" games would also be helpful to keep people busy when not interacting with the cats. and taking a break just to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy daughter's birthday was yesterday. We drove 3 hours to go to this place, only to be turned away. When we arrived, we didn't realize you had to have a reservation to see the cats. That could have been my fault, as I did not read through their entire website. The girl at the counter didn't greet us, was completely rude and when I explained the situation, just said "well. Sorry." And walked away. Again, it's fine. My fault for not knowing the reservation situation, but the attitude was uncalled for. I told my 10 year old that we could order a drink and just sit down for a bit before going to find something else to do. We ordered and again, the lady was completely rude. The cappuccino was terrible. My daughter enjoyed her hot chocolate. It felt like we were unwelcome and she just wanted us to leave. We found another cat cafe in liberty called sugar kittens and it was MUCH more what we were looking for. If you're wanting a "kid friendly" type of cat cafe, Sugar Kittens is just that. They had all sorts of sweet treats, boba tea, coffee, icecream, and they were so very welcoming. They made my daughters day. If you're looking for a basic, stuffy, subpar coffee shop, then give...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI think itās so amazing thatās theyāre giving people the opportunity to really spend time getting to know the cats before bringing them home.. and itās clean and the cats seem to be well taken care of. The coffee girl was so kind and personable⦠the others not so much. Iāll never be back or encourage anyone looking for a fun afternoon- drinking coffee & playing with cats to ever do. We spent 3 minutes inside & quickly left, after a 5 minute rule lecture of how to play with cats. You canāt play with the cats with your hands.. you canāt pick up the cats. Which I do understand the risk of hurting the cats, but the reason was because when you pick up a cat.. you take away that cats right to be where it wants to be? Itās a cat, come on. Then I was told I had to put my purse in a basket under a bench⦠that made it that we had to sit on a bench against the wall where no cat was interested in coming. (Put this purse rule on the internet so people can leave them at home). There were 15+ people and 8 cats.. my daughter and I were looking forward to coming and cuddling and playing with some cats and that obviously didnāt happen. Like I said, great idea but not well...
