9 Whiskers Lounge — Restaurant in Katy

A friend and I visited on 3-9-25, The cafe is clean, cats are well taken care of and the owner is very aware of what he wants from this cafe.

I felt like from the start, a lot was considered in putting this space together, down to furniture placement and decor. You get to choose from a lot of cat wands before you enter the room, you also get a key to a locker to put all your stuff in. Cats are introduced on the wall with their pics

All the cats are comfortable enough to where each one feels safe so all of their personalities stands out. They have an abundance of wall space, not just stairs, almost like wall hotels, for them to create their own bubble as well as mental stimulation toys. The owner and workers do their best to be aware of what's going on to make the experience for both cats and guests enjoyable. The cafe puts effort into helping us have individual moments with the kitties. They gave us towels to attract the cats onto our laps and gave us dental treats to give out

The owner is aware that not all cats can fit in this environment, so when this happens, they try to find a home for them outside of this space. He also tries to highlight the older cats personalities because it is harder for older ones to get adopted when there are so many cute kittens around.

I really hope more people come visit whether is it to just support the place and be able to chill with some cats, or if you want an environment that helps you choose a cat based on how they are during, what I think, is the best time of day, to get to know a cat.

Just celebrated my unconventional meowage with the small and intimate wedding of my dreams here! The owner’s (Tom) excitement for us made this experience priceless, and the lengths they went to to accommodate everything I wanted (like a cat ring bearer, and offer services I didn’t even know I wanted like a catnip bubble machine and all of their cats being decked out in formal wear) was second to none! Tom’s entire team was wonderfully accommodating, professional, and collaborative, and I felt extremely well taken care of. Tom and Jane were very friendly and communicative every step of the way, so I had no worries going into the day of, because I knew I was in good hands. Looking back on all of the photos and video Tom recorded for us keeps bringing a smile to my face. I never imagined as an introvert that I would be able to find a small business that was genuinely invested in making my cat lounge wedding ceremony into a purrfect reality. Thank you all so much. 9 Whiskers is always so clean, and the lofi and chill cozy vibe with an adorable variety of well-mannered cats was exactly what I wanted to incorporate into our special day. I can’t wait to come back to host another event with them, since it truly does feel like working with a group of friends, and maybe even utilize their projector next time! Update: Had a 2nd visit today, 4 months after our first visit. Unfortunately I wasn’t as impressed. Changing my star rating as a result. The room was over crowded. The cats were over stimulated and over touched. Many of the cats were angry with each other, and not many wanted to be touched. Not that I blame them. They were fairly stressed out. Today could have been an off day, but due to how much more skittish these cats are of people now makes me think the overbooking thing happens often. What was worse was each time a cat swatted a guest or got angry, the guests laughed about it, and continued petting the over stimulated cats. It left a very bad taste in my mouth. I don’t think we will be back, because I don’t want to encourage overbooking the facility at the expense of the cats mental wellbeing. The only time the cats were truly interested in human touch majority of the time was when they brought the snacks out.

Such a wonderful place! The staff is so friendly, and accommodating! The facility is clean, and the cats are just purrfect in every way! The cats were all so friendly, and sweet. They had brand new kittens the day we were there, and my daughter was in love getting to play and snuggle brand new kittens! My daughter said it was the best experience for a cat lover...
