ě´ëšęł¨ are in NY or Torrance only and I'm glad that it's here in Katy out of all places
Tofu stew, esp seafood tofu soup, is the best in all of the Greater Houston area. Better than Tofu Village. We went to try it on two separate occasions and it tasted as ěëëś ě°ę° should be. I'd suggest the combo if you would like to eat it with extra protein.
When you get the stew, crack open the egg right away. Swerve the rest around so the egg will cook in the stone pot. My husband tried the bulgogi stone pot bibimbap, loved it, and ate all of it both times. You can get plain water or barley tea which is also a korean choice of water that provides vitamin B6 among others, you can chose to have it hot or cold ă Ą it isn't extra. As you can see here, the bottom of the rice get stuck. You may chose to pour a little bit of barley tea in there and scrape them off like we did. Its even better for the bibimbaps :)
During our first visit, there was only one lady working the entire floor and she was very thoughtful and kind. During our second visit, we went an hour before closing with different ladies and they were nice but not as warm as the lady who was here during our first visit. The silverware are stored inside the drawers of the tables and there should be a button to call for assistance if you need their attention.
The restaurant is open and seat cushions. There are big flat screens that play diverse korean shows, the atmosphere helps you feel at home in shikdangs ěëš where they have a small TV playing a show while you eat on stainless steel furniture. But the restaurant furniture isn't stainless steel, its wood based like modern farmhouse like, with stainless...

I came in just wanting a simple kimchi beef soup, but even that was surprisingly hassle to get. When it finally arrived, the beef pieces were tiny literally size of a dimeâand I only counted nine pieces total.
No utensils were given; apparently, I was supposed to know they were hidden underneath the table. Rice came late, and it was soggy. Oddly, the plate also came with fishâwhy would I want fish when I ordered beef?
The kimchi pancake was the only highlightâit was good. But honestly, with better service, I might have overlooked the $44 price tag (which still feels hefty for what I got). Unfortunately, the overall experience made it hard to justify.
The worst part? The service. No one checked in on me. I had to ask the cleaning staffânot the serverâfor a to-go box for my pancake. That alone shouldâve been a sign I was ready to leave. Even then, it took another 15 minutes before I finally got their attention again just so I could hand my card to the cleaning staff , who then passed it to the server. The server was more faster at cleaning and getting her tip than actually serving. And the in fact, I did not leave a tip I couldnât justify it.
I really donât think Iâm asking for much here:
⢠Go over the order to confirm.
⢠Bring the soup with the rice and utensils. ⢠Check on the customer at least once.
I consider myself a very easy person to please, but this experience missed even the bare minimum. Food was below average, and the service was meh . I wonât be coming back. Iâd rather just go to the food...

I have been a couple of times and had their LA Galbi, bulgogi, kimchi soup, and seafood pancake.
My favorite is their LA Galbi. The meat is very tender, soft, and seasoned well. They have a combo for the LA Galbi and soup, and I like to get it with the kimchi soup. I got the medium and hot spice levels. Although spice level is subjective, I would say that the hot is not that spicy and more of a low mild for me. If you like something spicier, I suggest going a higher spice level. The medium spice level did not have much of a kick.
The first time I went the soup was boiling hot, which was perfect. However, on the second visit, their soup was warm, and my egg unable to be cooked/poached(?) after cracking it in the warm broth, which was disappointing.
The bulgogi was okay and was a smaller portion than I expected. The pancake was crispy and soft in the middle and could feed about 2-3 people.
They also had cold noodles on their menu, but when we went and asked for it on two different occasions, it was still not available yet.
They are pretty busy on the weekends, but we were able to be sat easily each time. There are limited workers, so service can be a bit slow. They also give you a Yakult at the end, which was nice!
Overall, their LA Galbi was delicious. The kimchi soup was also good, but I recommend going up for spice levels. Hoping to try other...
