Flavors Indian Cuisine — Restaurant in Katy

We were a party of 9 and it took them a few mins to get us seated as the tables werent clean and they had to join a few. We got the usual menus but not the daily specials which we had to request for since I knew they had wednesday chaat and indo chinese specials. If i wouldnt have known i would have ordered from their full price menu. They should bring those daily specials menus to the table without being requested. Service was super slow and extremely disorganized. The place was half full so not like it was unmanageable. Dahi puri was v delicious, papdi chaat and mirchi pakoda chaat were very dry and need improvement. We found Chicken 65 to be very tangy. Indo chinese items (noodles and rice) were flavorful and decent but quantities were less compared to price. Tadka daal was delicious. Chilli garlic naan and white rice came out pretty room temp and not hot. Matka biryani also tasted very good and had a good spice level. We were very disappointed that each item came one by one in 10-15 min intervals which broke the whole momentum of having a good dinner. No one came to our table to ask if food was ok or if we needed anything. We had to make sure we got the server’s attention to bring us silverware , plates and napkins. When we were getting done with the dinner it was around 9:40 and all waiters were so busy cleaning tables to close and go home, we had to go to the counter ourselves to pay the bill and request for boxes. Also there is a 5% surcharge on paying by cc and a mandatory 18% tip (Understandable because we were a large party but then atleast do justice to your service)! It's a huge NO to the lunch buffet, but that is just my opinion. I guess I'm just on a hunt for a good Indian buffet, and it was totally not it. I don't recommend it if you have high standards for Indian food or have traveled to India. Again, just my opinion.

Update: you replied that you need validation I ate there? You have security cameras, you had speakers outside the restaurant. I was there at 11:02am and the vegetable biryani wasn't ready. Food was cold, then the power at the food serving failed. It was quickly fixed. Naan was great but we were almost done with our plates, but great Naan, I will give you that and the kheer.. But the rest of the food was bland. I was there when only one other customer was there. Do you need more proof? I did not take a picture (I should have) just to "prove" the quality of the buffet. I don't know how other customers are posting these great dishes, I did not experience that on my visit. Also to the right, you have a small stage with music equipment, restrooms are down...

First of all service was very slow in the store. There was no customer still there took him 45 minutes to get the stuff it was chart only first second then we order some other stuff took him 35 minutes to get there to 40 minutes and one we ordered two Nane Took him 30 minutes to get that the food was there. It’s already cooled down this next time. Remember, don’t go over that place and they didn’t have the Deliver for the food was on special.
