Normally I love this place, but the last few times we've gone it hasn't been that great. Yesterday was no different, when it was time to be seated they took us to one of those half benches. So i said "no" we would like to sit some where else( I have sat in one of these before, you have no room for your food or body). There was was an open table right next to us. Well that seemed to be a problem, the hostess seemed annoyed by my request. So after going back and forth on her headset all dramatically. She decided to sit us not at this clean table next to us, but at the dirty table next to that. She had to spend a few okward moments picking up what seemed to be like 20 menus that someone had opened and then set up on the table(lol who would do that!). Meanwhile we just stood there looking at the already clean still empty table right next to us. Then the plates that were left on the table when she was done were dirty with food stuck to them. Meanwhile when we ordered our steaks(you didn't think my review was gonna be about menus did you?)neither steak came out correctly mine over cooked, my husband under cooked but still some how burnt?? So then we have to wait for our waitress to come by so we can tell her. When she finally comes around and we go to tell her the problem, my husband is trying to explain that he doesn't like the brunt taste. And she cuts him off im sure to tell him that he can order it differently. So i cut her off and say its not cooked right and we shouldn't have to request that you not burn it. Meanwhile she has gone out of her way to take the steaks off our plattes even grabbing a random platte form outta no where to get my husbands. Calm down lady niether one of us wanted to keep the steaks. My steak was cooked well over done, when I order it medium rare. Meanwhile she leaves and we get back eatting, well quiet a while goes by and we still dont have our steaks. So were just sitting there at a steakhouse with no steaks. Finally a manger or so she says brings them out and watches us cut into them. Good thing they have that manager to bring out steaks a 2nd time, 30 or 40 mins after the customers orders them, to say things like "great im glad". Yeah im glad too, im glad you finally brought us our steaks now that we're ready to leave. In all there was still one more thing that bothered us my husband's steak came out with a mystery brunt sweet potato on the platte that we didn't order. So it started us thinking, did they give him somebody elses not cooked right either, steak??

First time trying this restaurant after living close to the area for 20+ yrs. The parking lot gets packed so come early though the restaurant opens @ 4pm on weekdays. We got there after 430pm and there were already people dining. Most of the spaces were booth but larger parties will be seated at a table. We were promptly seated at a booth and provided bread and whipped cinnamon butter. The bread was so warm, soft and pillowy I could have eaten the entire basket of 4 rolls on my own. The family ordered potato skins for appetizer. It came in 8 slices topped with melted cheddar cheese and bacon pieces with a ranch or sour cream as dipping sauce. We enjoyed the app. For entree I ordered the Prime Rib with loaded baked potato and house salad with ranch dressing. The prime rib was tender but the way it was cooked was very different in comparison to other steak houses that I have dined at. Maybe it was the seasoning or the way it was cooked but I couldn't describe it. Hubby ordered bone in ribeye with plain baked potato and salad. He liked his steak medium but it appeared that the steak was cooked well-done. I tried his ribeye and some part was tender and other part was chewy. He thought the steak needed more seasoning. Son ordered the porterhouse with green beans and loaded mashed potato. He enjoyed his steak and believed the porterhouse was served thicker cut than other steak houses. Overall service was friendly but when we asked another waiter for a small lid to go to cover our dipping sauce for our leftover steak, he had another person to come to the table and we told her what we needed....and when another server brought our food hubby asked for more butter for his baked potato. She never returned and we had to ask our waitress for it when she checked in on us. If you understand what I am trying to point out then no need to say more....

Extremely Busy Location with Good Food, But Inconsistent Experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3 out of 5) There are several Texas Roadhouse locations across the Houston area, but this one in particular is extremely busy, largely due to its location in a heavily trafficked shopping strip. Parking is very limited, and on evenings—especially weekends—you can expect a 45-minute to 1-hour wait just to be seated. Once inside, the dining area is crowded and loud, and while the food is consistently good, the service can be hit or miss. It often takes extra effort to flag someone down for drink refills or additional items, and overall timing is slow. Expect your full dining experience—from seating to exit—to take about 1 to 1.5 hours. They’re very accommodating for children, which is a big plus. The kids’ menu is solid, and they’re enthusiastic about celebrating birthdays with fun flair. The macaroni and cheese is especially tasty. They also tend to do a good job cooking steaks to order, and portion sizes, while satisfying, can feel a bit on the smaller side depending on what you order. This particular location has a tight layout, so parties of four or more may feel a bit cramped, and the waiting area often overflows—you may want to stay in your car until your table is ready. A big drawback: the restrooms. On our visit, there was a line to get in, and once inside, the bathrooms were messy, with toilet paper on the floor, an empty soap dispenser, and paper towels left out. Definitely an area that management should keep a closer eye on. Final thoughts: While we enjoyed the food and the kid-friendly atmosphere, this particular location feels overwhelmed by the volume of business. If you’re craving Texas Roadhouse, we’d recommend trying a location a bit farther from central Houston for a more relaxed experience. We’ll return—but likely to a different branch.

Here is the gist of my long post during our experience: 1 wrong order followed by 1 inedible order, an appetizer that never came out and a child's meal that arrived late- after 2 adult meals. Manager apologized but did not seem too remorseful. Most food is pretty good but I still would not recommend.

My husband, 4-year-old son and I decided to grab dinner on Saturday night to get out of the house. We got on the waitlist before arriving and waited a little while once we got there. We were completely fine with that! Once seated, we ordered drinks and an appetizer-fried pickles. We then ordered our meals about 5-10 minutes later. When the food arrived, it was only mine and my husband's food. My son's did arrive until after we told our server. Our fried pickle appetizer never arrived. Our server told us the fried food comes out on the same ticket and it must have been lost.

In addition to our son's meal coming out later, my order was incorrect. I ordered a Country Fried Sirloin however, a chicken-fried steak came out instead (which was not even crunchy). We sent it back and the server apologized, saying it was loud and she must have misheard me. Not a big deal for me! I had my sides and my husband's ribeye to eat while I was waiting.

When the Country Fried Sirloin did come out, it was extremely salty that it was inedible. The server apologized saying they must have put too much seasoning on the sirloin, then breading it and put more seasoning, making it salty. She asked if I would like to order another. I decided against it since I worried that particular dish may be on the salty side and ordered a 6-oz filet instead.

I asked her to box up my food since I was full at that point. It took a while, which I understand since it was a busy Friday night.

My husband got a manager involved after receiving the second (out of three dishes) to let him know what was happening. We were both polite with the server and manager but wanted them to be aware of the situation. Here's the problem, while we are not the type to get a free handout, we expected at least something-maybe my son's kids meal to be taken care of since we had so many issues with the food that evening (1 wrong order, 1 inedible order, an appetizer that never came out and a child's meal that arrived late) we received our bill and nothing was discounted or taken off.

Unfortunately, we most likely...

My family and I visited roadhouse for dinner at the Katy location on June 16th, 2024 at approximately 7:30pm. It was Father’s Day, but more importantly, my daughter, Sofia’s 5th birthday. We have been going every year since she was 2 years old because she gets a kick out of riding the saddle and enjoys the ice cream and birthday singing. When we were greeted by our server, I made sure to let him know it was her birthday and he assured me they would make sure they would come out and sing to her and have her sit on the saddle. My daughter was extremely excited and couldn’t stop taking about how she couldn’t wait for them to sing to her. After we finished our meals, I reminded our server who again, reassured me they would come out shortly. About 10 minutes later, after patiently waiting, our server came back out and told me that they wouldn’t do her birthday any longer because it was “Father’s Day” and they don’t do birthdays on holidays. He explained that he just found out and never even knew this. Of course when we heard this my daughter started to cry, so I pleaded with our server to please ask the manager to make an exception as my daughter was looking forward all week for this. The server came out without a manager but told me again that they could not do birthdays and even came up with a lie by telling me that the saddles gets “taken out of the restaurant during holidays” I chuckled at and mentioned how ridiculous that sounded. I wasn’t in the mood to argue so I accepted the fact that a saddle couldn’t be brought and asked if they could at least sing happy birthday and bring ice cream to my crying 5 year old. He agreed and told me he would be right back. Sure enough, I was lied to once again as someone claiming to be a “manager” came out and told me I was misinformed and refused all together to sing to my child. They wouldn’t even bring her an ice cream even after I begged and pleaded that my daughter was devastated they wouldn’t sing to her on her birthday. I am beyond disgusted with the way we were treated at roadhouse especially since we kept getting lied to and misinformed about the entire process. Roadhouse needs to make it up to my daughter or we will be sure...
