Mi Pueblito Restaurant — Restaurant in Katy

I am very dissatisfied with this restaurant. I i’ve been to the one close to the galleria and expected the same from this one. I was excited because it’s close to my house but the service was not good. I asked the waitress for butter and she took about 10 minutes to bring it to me in the meantime my food got cold and I had to eat it before it got any colder without butter. she passed by us several times and did not ask us if everything was OK. My mom called on her because there was too little dressing on her salad and she ignored us. I know the waitress heard us she was literally touching our table with her hip. when I asked for a buñuelo it was brought cold to me. I am Colombian and I love hot buñuelos. If you ever do go let them know you want a hot buñuelo or else they will bring it cold. The one in the galleria area gives them at a warm temperature. also when I got my small Arepa it was cold. My mom asked for a cup of coffee she said it was cold also. Colombia is known for their coffee it should be hot not cold especially if you are from the older generation like my mom. What made me the most upset is that she passed several times by our table and continually asked the people at the other table if they were OK and served them completely ignoring us. I have read the other reviews and the responses from this restaurant. I don’t understand why they acknowledge the review but do not change the service. almost everyone is complaining about the poor service I will not be returning to...

Took home this gorgeous plate of selection from a first visit to Mi Pueblito Restaurant-Katy while patronizing another shared business right across; Howdy's-Katy, make sure you support those live beyond their exceptionalities into their independence, 4th year Anniversary was today July 22nd. Service: (at Mi Pueblito) was welcoming; all three ladies were super friendly (one lady asked what I chose with so much enthusiasm & I know why, the taste is to be excited about) and professional. My specific waitress was knowledgeable and accommodating. When my order was ready, she walked it out (as we were wrapping up our across visit on their outside patio). Atmosphere: Everything said above will bring you back and with a friend/family. The outside is really cute, has patio tables, a bench and loads of setting options inside. The establishment is culturally decorated that represents proud, rich "Colombia" 🇨🇴; Thursday evening advertising Karaoke night, that has to be interesting and fun. The inside is also brightly decorated, a bit slow inside and easy to talk noise levels. Never used the restroom however everything looked clean. Food: Adorable, Delicious and Good proportion (I would have liked more Fried Ripe Plantains) however proportions was filling nonetheless. Will upload pictures. I visit this restaurant very often it has good food how ever I have some bad experiences. The fist one was with a plate called cazuela de mariscos, which is a sea food soup. The soup had some frozen food inside...it seems that it was not freshly clocked as I was expecting. I let that pass because that dish takes long time to cook..anyway....two days ago I asked for a bandeja paisa, más the fried meat did not take good . I had just one bite in my mouth and I knew it was bad. I requested to be replaced and they gave me chicharon . The waiter was apologetic about what happened and told they they try the meat in the kitchen and confirmed that was not good. And added that it was a mistake because some in the kitchen took the meat from the "wrong side" . My understanding was that it was in fridge or a place where they take the meat she should not have taken it from that side. I did not argue but it make me think that quality control of the food depends on someone taking meat from the right side .....I guess improve procedure on quality control are needed. I will check the reviews from now on to see if I will come back again. I did not see any response to comment from the restaurant, I guess it is not importa feed back...
