Crawfish Crawl February 2019 My sister and I were determined to find the best crwfish in West Houston / Katy. LA Crawfish was our second stop of five. I would give LA Crawfish 0 on a scale of 1-10. I gave it one star because I couldn't give it zero stars. Flavor - Spicy Garlic Cajun - this name is deceptive. The crawfish were neither Spicy or Garlicky. There were flavorless. Containers of butter and and seasoning are available as condiments but we didn't use either because we didn't even eat the two pounds we ordered. Spice Level - 1 on a scale of 1-10 - basically flavorless. Service - This location is in the food court of of 99 Ranch Asian Market on Mason Rd in Katy. There are no waiters. You stand in line to order and return to the counter later to pick up your order. The line was very slow and the wait for the food was even slower. Presentation - we were given a white plastic table cover when the order was placed. Once the order was ready they were handed to us in a plastic bag. Trays were available for use and napkins were available in the condiment section. Price - $8.99 a pound - market price this early in the season. Cleanliness - Terrible - zero on a scale of 1-10. The crawfish were dirty and tasted gritty. We ordered one corn and two potatoes. The corn was fine but the potatoes were under-cooked and had black rotten spots. The food court was clean, it was crowded, the bathroom was clean but there are only two stalls and one was locked. In the five restaurant crawfish crawl LA Crawfish was #5...
Read moreTerrible!!!! We tried this location 3 times. The first young lady who answered the phone was very nice. But Today is the final straw! The crab was either overcooked or old, and had a greyish color to the meat. My husband's stomach began to hurt shortly after eating it. Then he experienced sharp abdominal pains. We called just to let them know about the quality when Josh, the "manager" stated that we were "wrong" and he cooked our meal so it had to be right. He was very rude and quite arrogant. For me its quality control. I understand things happen, but I'm telling him, the so called manager, what we are experiencing and his reaction is to tell us we are lying. Sad and we are never going again. I will be sure to pass the word and get in touch with an inspector!!!! For us it is not about the money, which we shelled out over $100; its the principle. And we do not want others to get sick.
Edit: So it appears that they do not care about the customer service aspect of their business per the response given to my complaint. Had the "manager" taken the time to speak to us in a tone that was less condescending, we may have forgone the negative review. We weren't even asking for anything. But I refuse to be treated disrespectfully, ESPECIALLY at a place I spend my money, Undercooked, overcooked, bad tasting, whatever; Address that horrible behavior. I wish I could take back the star...
Read moreThe cashier was not friendly at all. It was like I wasn't worth her time , I never been to LA crawfish before ,so I was asking simple questions and she seemed agitated ,and I was just trying to decide what I wanted to order for like literally less than 10 seconds. She said "I got to do something let me know when you are ready" with attitude. I was asking questions about the menu all she said the menu is here. I work in customer service ,and even if you have a menu there, if a customer asks you about your menu, you help them, not tell them there is the menu figure it out. Just to add salt on the wound yall charge a dollar for refills. Well with customer service like that you should be giving free drinks on the house to have to put up with yalls customer service. My friends that I was having dinner with said that they do not feel welcome there ,and we didn't even feel like asking for a bag to put are food in because that woman was so rude. I just gave it away ,and didn't bother with it. I can say I'm never coming back to this location ever I don't care...
