Sweets by Belen Dessert Boutique — Restaurant in Katy

I visited Sweets by Belen yesterday. I discovered this bakery on Instagram. The bakery is quite small but beautiful and clean! The place was completely empty. Ms. Belen did greet me as I walked in but she seemed sad, discouraged or maybe she was just tired, I’m not sure. I did not take it personally, I really hope she is okay, she seemed like a sweet lady. I didn’t tell her in person, but she reminds me a lot of my grandmother that I lost three years ago. Back to the review… Everything looked delicious! I ordered several desserts to go for my daughter and I to try. First I asked for a passion fruit mousse that I saw in the display but I noticed that when she picked it up, she looked at it to inspect it, took it to the back and came back to the front and said she was out. I’m not sure if she noticed that maybe it had gone bad/was expired or what but I didn’t get an explanation. I’m guessing this is what happened and if so, I’m glad she noticed and didn’t sell it to me. I also ordered the pecan alfajores…which were fresh and delicious!!! My daughter didn’t try them because she doesn’t like pecans. My favorite…was the passion fruit cheesecake…perfect balance of sweet and tart, my daughter liked it too! My daughter tried the coffee and milk macaron which she didn’t like but she loved the Nutella and pistachio macarons. Lastly we tried the mango mousse, which we both did not like. The flavor was ok, it was more so just the texture…it was more of a flan (thick like) texture rather than a (soft airy) mousse texture. Overall my/our experience was good. We will be back to try more desserts and support...

Belen wow! I recently visited Belen's and was absolutely blown away by the Mango Cheesecake! It was incredibly delicious, with a perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavors. The texture was smooth and creamy, making each bite a delight. I'm already planning my next visit to try the Passionfruit and Guava Cheesecake – I have a feeling they'll be just as amazing.

The alfajores were another standout! They're the perfect treat size for any occasion, and I can see myself becoming seriously addicted to them. The delicate cookies with the sweet dulce de leche filling were simply irresistible.

What's great is that Belen's also provides seating, so you can enjoy your sweets right there and then. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and indulge in some delicious treats. I highly recommend Belen's to anyone looking for high-quality,...

Best service and delicious deserts. All the deserts are perfectly baked with delicate balance of flavors that melt in my mouth; texture, aroma and flavor in one beautiful presentation. 💖 The boutique brought me to when I was a little girl playing “casita” with my cousins drinking lemonade on a tea cup.
