Well I too have been waiting for this place to open. They keep advertising on Facebook for the last month and I kept asking when you going to open so tada now it's open... So on Facebook today they had a offer of four free tenders with any dine-in order so I thought I'd take advantage of that. So as far as atmosphere, the place is extremely clean. It's very industrial, so that leads towards the noise level cuz there's not a lot of soft items to absorb the noise but it's not too bad at all. All there is some soft music playing. So I came in. Got to order right away. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. Came with fries. I got a water and then the four free tenders. I was able to get some sweet chili sauce to go on the side of my tenders. Ordered. Gave my payment was given a number and a drink cup. Got my water and had a seat and not too long outcome my food. So the band was good and fresh. The chicken was grilled nicely, not dry. Still retaining moisture, Chris lettuce and onion. I opted for no pickles. French fries were obviously fresh, lightly seasoned and tasty. Now for the tender at this place they use the actual tenderloin which 35 years ago was actually where chicken tenders got their name. So they actually use the tenderloid. They don't take a breast and cut it in his strips like Popeyes and call it chicken tenders or other places that cut a piece of a thigh meat and call it chicken tenders. These are 100% breast meat tenders. That's an expensive cut and I applaud them for using it. They're tasty. The breading was very light, not a thick batter. Crunchy had a good flavor. Not oily at all. Overall they were excellent. The only downfall at all was as you said that the table as a QR code that you can scan to get their loyalty program. So this is after you've already eaten. Excuse me. Ordered and so then you go to sign up for their loyalty program for her points and the visit that you're at today doesn't count because you didn't give the code when you place the order. Now I asked Jessica who is a general manager of the store in Jasper who was helping out at this location today. Why I could not get points for what I ordered today and she said I'll take care of you and she went in the program and awarded my points for my visit today. So thank you for that. Save there! Jessica. So overall a good visit. Hot fresh food. Very tasty. Good quality and even the water was great and cold. Lol I'll definitely be back. Glad you finally got open here...
Read moreNot sure how anyone is giving this place less than 4 stars. My wife and I are there this past weekend for the first time and we were blown away by how good the food was.
I ordered the chicken philly with a side of the medium buffalo sauce and fries with the Lawry's seasoning. My wife got the 4 piece tenders meal with the Luke's sauce and a side of ranch.
My wife and I are long time fans of Zaxby's and we both agreed that BL is on par with Zaxby's in overall quality, but the taste is overall better. BLs breading on their chicken is much less sodium heavy than Zaxby's and has an overall better taste. Their buffalo sauce is more buttery than Zaxby's and a little spicier when comparing the same advertised temperatures (medium to medium, for example). The fries are straight cut and well seasoned and the ability to choose between 3 great seasonings for the fries is a bonus.
The staff were very friendly and explained everything really well for our first experience and the restaurant was very clean and had an enjoyable atmosphere. Their loyalty program seems like a good one, which will encourage us to go there more often as it's easy to earn points and the rewards seem fairly reasonable.
If you like Zaxby's but want something less salty, you won't be disappointed. I plan on going back to try more of...
Read moreBased on their bold claim of having the best chicken tenders in Georgia, we decided to give them a try. I'm not sure what gave them that impression, as we found them to be edible, but not desirable. A far cry from "best".
The batter was nice and crunchy, but contained a bitterness that was further amplified by their choice of honey mustard. Those two paired terribly together. The tenders were more palatable with a sweeter honey mustard (we used some Ken's brand), but it still could not mask the underlying unpleasant flavor.
The fries were utterly unremarkable, bordering on bad. The special sauce included was equally off-putting. It just contained a flavor that did not set well with either of us.
Garlic toast - okay. Nothing special. Raising Cane's has done it better for years. Surprisingly, my husband ate all the coleslaw. He hates coleslaw, so that's a big point in their favor. Unfortunately, that was about the only redeeming quality, insofar as food goes.
Service was great. The drive-through isn't the best set-up, but they made it work. Very good customer-facing skills, for sure. However good the service was, it cannot make up for the food. I do not think we will be back, but wish them best of luck in improving their...
