I usually buy $100+ TJ MAXX gift cards to give out for Mother’s Day, birthdays in the family, and holidays. Every time that I buy gift cards, I always ask for “gift receipt” since they are being sent out of state. In the past, the employees have been able to fulfill my request for “gift receipt” by printing out another receipt or an item receipt. Today, when I asked for “gift receipt” the employees told me they don’t print out gift receipts for gift cards. After I explained to them that TJ MAXX have issued similar receipts for my gift cards in the past 4 years. One of the employees told me they’ve been working here for 20 years and have never done that. I didn’t want to hold up the line and so I left. I called another TJ MAXX in Cobb County and asked for clarification on gift card receipts. The employee there told me that while they don’t print out gift receipts for gift cards, they can look the item through item inquiry and print out another receipt(s). Although I may not have used the correct term to describe what I was looking for (in this case gift receipt), but brushing me off and not able to fulfill my request was pretty...
Read moreI love shopping TJMaxx, never thought I’d have a bad review however, the employees are extremely rude. I’m handicapped at the moment and I asked my child for assistance. While my child was showing me each blouse, a random lady-whom we didn’t think worked there because she wasn’t wearing a name tag or anything, tells my child not to touch the clothing. I look at her and said excuse me, but I asked him for help, for her not to worry about what we are doing, and to mind her business. Well, she continues to tell my child not to touch anything. I asked her to leave us alone. She just stood there. She never addressed herself as an employee. I later her see her putting up the clothing from a Z rack on salesfloor racks so I assumed she worked there. I asked a few other employees and apparently no one knew her name because she never wears a name tag. I asked the cashier for her name and managers number and it took her 12 minutes to retrieve a number, however she simply tells me to call the number on the receipt. Horrible customer service, no...
Read moreI love tj maxx but this store employees are incredibly rude. I had Alicia A (a coordinator) as my cashier and was body shammed by her as I was trying to return an item that I didn’t like. She kept making rude comments towards me and when I tried returning an item without a receipt she took one look at my name and immediately started acting differently. Suddenly the item I was returning was suspicious and she had to have another coworker investigate it. It was a simple top unworn with the tags intact and Alicia wouldn’t do my return. I felt very uncomfortable with her and I asked for my item back as I no longer wanted to return it since she clearly thought I was trying to scam her over a top. After several minutes of back and forth she gave me my item back and kept stating that she’s had customers like me (not sure what she meant by that) try returning incorrect items. Not sure if I’ll go back to this store again after that...
