Finally tried popular donuts today, because everyone had told me they were one of the best. I should just say i was truly disappointed. Im a apple fritter person and was expecting a great donut. First off, who i there right mind charges 4.00 for 1 fritter? When i got it and pulled it out of the bag, it looked amazing and smelled delicious. But as we all know looks can be deceiving. As i took my first bite , it was pretty good. Sweet, buttery and got a piece of apple. Then disappointment set in. There was maybe 3-4 small apple pieces in this large fritter. Now mind you, most fritters you should experience a apple piece in every 1-3 bites. So my conclusion is they have scaled back on there quality but jacked there prices up. This place is one of the best places to get fresh doughnuts. They open at 4am and close when the doughnuts run out, which happens a lot. People come here early so they can grab some before they are gone. The doughnuts are so fresh and totally delicious. They come in a ray of different kinds you can choose from. I’m not to sure if anyone remembers the doughnut shop The Hole In One at the mall but these people make them homemade like they did. Best donuts in town.. I showed up just 15 minutes before they close and the customers before me (a young couple) had bought the last of their donuts; they are so good they sell out almost everyday. When the couple noticed my sigh of dissapointment, they offered to share with me. Of course I accepted and was very surprised when they wouldn't take money - they were happy to share.
